To be fair no one would run a speedway match v a massive football match in fact one of the biggest for cov in years . Have people forgotten the time when Cov ran against the England match ? the club lost a packet of money as no one turned up. that was also on the backdrop of fans saying who cares about football type attitude . The big question to me is the date they have moved it to . I think there is total lack of understanding of the effect Football matches have on Speedway crowds .

Surely the main thing about having the set race night on a Monday it's to make sure that teams are at full strength rather that the sort of team Eastie are putting up tonight at Poole .. if it has the added bonus of making teams stronger then all well and good .

Been say before no fans don't care about any kind of play offs that don't include a title being on the line . First in the league is no doubt the fairest way but without the play offs the season and crowds would just die as most teams won't nothing to race for .Look at Swindon matches for the rest of the season we have something to race for in a first past the post season rather than having nowt to race for and the crowds falling and putting the club in danger of going under .. Saying that I really dislike the format of the pl play offs should just do the same as the el and have 4 teams and have two semi's and a final .

I think it should be allowed to awarded of any lap if it's done on purpose . it amazes me that riders who's team is on the end of a five one don't take a dive more often to be fair .
