  1. Jake Anderson has won races at Redcar, so good replacement.
  2. Certainly will be a terrific tussle. The Rebels will get at least a point, highly probably more than a point. Doyle has probably the best record of any rider around the STMP and the Rebels have won here on several occasions.
  3. Garrity give him a big thump on the first bend. The ref was weak as, all night, on several incidents. Should have been all 4 back.
  4. This tie is still well alive and kicking. The Bandito's are still well in it and could easily reverse the Shieldfield result. Think Mickey Dyer's contribution, will be vital for the bears.
  5. The subject of Matej is complicated. It appears to be a psychological issue. All we can do, is hope he can put it behind him and get back to his best. Only time will tell, but I do hope he comes around.
  6. Your right, no way is this tie over yet. It will be a tight match on Thursday. It aint over till it's over.
  7. Might not have been massive changes, but it had a massive effect.
  8. If Skidmarks makes the gate, around STMP, then he takes some "reelin in".
  9. To be fair, either of those would be great.
  10. Have to agree with that. If Matej knuckles down, he would be excellent value on his current average, especially at home.
  11. Actually Ken, he had a couple of good rides round Redcar, on his few appearances there.
  12. Great news. A very solid acquisition, for the Bears 2013 line up. Good for the entertainment value too.
  13. Sorry, but I do'nt ever see Matt Tresarrieu and Brian Havelock, working together. Much as I would like to see Matt back.
  14. Unfortunately too much 43.43 (with Milik in), but would fit with Albin, (if he came in on a 5).
  15. Yeah, you are right. I know Glyn had some other plans, but due to circumstances, did not get a chance to implement them.
  16. Hi Tsunami, spoke to Glyn last night. He said he had never, altered the kerb and it was exactly as it was, when it was first put in. He made some mods to the track surface, but in the hope it, would change some of the racing lines, (not sure wether it worked or not). Hence the reason for the slight increase in track length. For what it's worth, in my opinion, it did not affect the standard of racing.
  17. Is that what you are going on, a quote in the gazette. I think I will just wait until the next time I see him and ask him in person.
  18. If GT is at Redcar on Thursday night, you can be sure, I will ask him about that fact and that is a fact.
  19. RedcarRacer said: 'The track was altered on the first and seconds corners by Glyn Taylor to lengthen the track a few years into the re-opening, albeit not much but with added banking too - it meant the riders were stopped from straightening up mid corner on bend 1 which previously allowed them to fly into 3 and 4 and use the banking - a technique the likes of Woffinden, Tressarieu and Kerr did with wonderful effect in the opening years. That is the reason the banking on 3 and 4 are no longer used by ANY rider, no matter how good.' Where the hell, do you get your so called facts from. You trot out this drivel like it was indisputable fact. When in reality it's just rumour and guess work. The kerb, which dictates the shape of the track, has never been altered since the day it was put in, (by Brian Havelock, one Saturday in early March, just before the start of the 2007 season. I was there I saw him doing it.) Glyn Taylor, had plans to alter it, but subsequent events, meant he never got chance to. I will probably see GT on Thursday night and will confirm that with him. If you are looking for reasons, why the STMP, does not quite reach former glories, then I suggest, you look in other area's.
  20. Sadly, I have to agree, with the previous posters. If there is no action soon, to arrest the downward slide, on the terraces, then I think, the damage may become, irrepairable.
  21. Apart from being very slick, I thought it was pretty smooth.
