Agree with that totally My reply was two fold - re professionalism and being allowed to run with crowds and the irony of the previous post it replied to re transponders

Transponders and and timing loops - so cutting edge that the stock cars at Foxhall have it as standard . You know that grass roots amateur sport that due to the lack of professionalism can now run with a larger crowd than ever attends the speedway!!

No it's not- its 1m+ in all circumstances (additional precautions must be taken where less than 2) with a min 2 wherever possible A stand would be classed as 2m being possible and capacity restricted as such

So there is 2 metres between row A and Row B etc and 2 metres between seat 1 an seat 3 etc? I call bull on that one - no stand in any stadium for any sport has that space and leg room The guidelines would have to alter significantly for 1 in 3 usage. Right now would be lucky for half that

No way could you use 1 in 3 seats and meet the current distancing guidelines I do agree though if any clubs hold meetings in 2020 that Belle Vue will be one of them and possibly the only one even if it just the SON

So still no figure disclosed It may seem (and possibly is) a bit pedantic to ask but why not just announce it? It could be important to someone before deciding if they wish to attend...... (I will say I wont be there btw regardless of the answer )

What is the restriction on crowd level? What limit has been agreed by the local authority?

The BBC only give Speedway a mention when it's something bad - tossers

I wont be getting any rushed, little tested, unproven vaccine for a virus that has no real effect on 98% of the population If that were to mean I cant go to Speedway then Ive seen my last meeting....

That's my point the limit should be on the crowd numbers and not dependant on the level/status of the participants!! Plus it should also be tailored to each venue - the space at one venue is very different to another and the risk is variable accordingly

I'm incredibly impressed that the scientists have been able run and prove analysis that the crowds that would attend an amateur meeting is one that has a lower risk of passing on infection than that attending 'elite events' After all that must be what has happened as the government all through this has only 'followed the science'......

Sadly possibly true. Would pose some questions re concessions such as free children - that just wouldn't be viable surely.....

Dean Cox from the stocks on Radio Suffolk indicated that the max capacity is in the region of 20% of the norm for the opening meeting on the 25th By that at Foxhall that means it's still around 2000...
