  1. Is it the morphine or the boredom causing these hallucinations Rest up
  2. Beaten twice by an impressive Doyle, once by Brennan in the heat where Cook dropped his only point of the night and by Thompson who of course in his previous visit beat Kurtz So 5 paid 7 where your main partner scores 11 out of 12 isn't so shabby in reality
  3. Doesn't need consistency - just 1 or 2 unexpected great nights ......
  4. I have heard that Jason Doyle earned £55k for his maximum in last week's Polish play off
  5. Certainly woukdnt be all over even with that sort of lead Equally if it's 10 or less it's still game on too I think these plays offs are the most open for a while both in the semis and the final regardless of the combination of qualifiers
  6. Belle Vue will win their home by 16-20 I can see this one being the time Blordorn finds his gating gloves and one of the reserves puts in a 6+ night
  7. Id take issue with your statement of "as often happens" re injuries and withdrawals early in matches I have no data but I'd expect the number of times a side has lost 2 riders in a match is tiny So no different to running IRR now - certainly not the reason to reject a change that could provide far more positives than potential issues
  8. Washing quickly taken back in Rain has returned - looks like it will be light but persistent for a bit
  9. Persistent rain for the last hour with for half of that time a torrential downpour (approx 2 miles from stadium but heading in that direction) Forecast is dry and warm from here on with potential good sunshine from early evening
  10. 5 man teams required then initially until such time as can attract others from around the world back or produce more home grown
  11. The 'Massif' made a big attempt to generate some noise and atmosphere at Foxhall Whilst acknowledged and appreciated by The Presenter very few others showed much enthusiasm and indeed I feel some actively disapproved I haven't been for quite some time now so that element is no longer subjected to my Cowbell and megaphone
  12. The play off dates would be logged in the International calender and priority established accordingly
  13. This would be the type of punter that would attend once and then probably never again I'd say the chances of becoming the desired regular fan would be increased significantly watching Emil as opposed to Simon Unfortunately I accept the cost of attracting more of the Emil type quality is beyond almost all of the current clubs
  14. Looks like we will need 5 man teams with a limit set at around 20 then....
  15. That's what happened with Victor P at Edinburgh - the regs simply state 6 meetings and no longer 3 home/3 away....
  16. So what happens if the sport manages to release "Chris Louis's grip on the current folly" (sic) and we have the rider list outlined in the BV72 example The likes of BV Ippo Sheffield and Leicester will still have better crowds and backing and will hoover up the top 10 of that select band unless there is complete rider control They will also attract the top emerging talent whenever it becomes available The cream will always rise
  17. May as well go completely amateur and make it the "£10 sport" that lots used to spout on about incessantly until recently
  18. Anybody seriously suggesting Simon Lambert is a better option than Emil Sayfutdinov needs to have their medication checked......
