  1. Thanks for that Dave - dont worry about the discrepancies even the BSPA official figures are sometimes wrong!!
  2. By my reckoning there is soon a run of meetings where scores of 3,4,6,3 will drop off for Doolan so if he remains solid his rolling average will rise. Although as it is spread over approx 180 rides it will still only be a small rise.
  3. Absolutely - I think someone has a spreadsheet set out to work it out and they could perhaps let us know what scores are due to drop for each rider. (please!!)
  4. With the rolling averages it is difficult to tell - Leigh for example last night scored 8 from 4 rides which is higher than his average. You would think it would increase his average. However if in the fixture last year dropped from his rolling average he scored 10 from 4 then his rolling average would fall. As the old saying goes there are lies, damn lies and then there are statistics!! The modern saying could of course be lies, damn lies and then theres Aljack!!
  5. Only the next 2 meetings until the cut off for July averages I beleive so it seems likely no change next month.
  6. Total race points from all rides (bonus points and tactical ride extra points excluded) divided by total number of rides then multiplied by 4 to produce average.
  7. He certainly could. Given the small number of matches making up his average he has the greatest chance of making an impact to bridge the gap. Equally a couple of lower scores will have a more pronounced negative impact.I think he would need to outscore Leigh by about 20 points between the cut dates for average assessments for July to do it.Of course with Leigh packing in the bonus points behind him whenever he can I think there is every chance of it happening.
  8. KKS and Aljerk - separated at birth or the result of cousins marrying?? I can't make up my mind which it is!!
  9. That was a question I asked about a fortnight ago........still waiting for the answer.
  10. Outrageous!! How can this be!! In line with all other threads I demand you copy and paste the relevent paragraph in your rulebook where this is stated. Thanks for the clarification and all your time and effort in putting the game together.
  11. I presume Rohan signing on fee was to ensure he joined the Witches and that only officially added to the retained list once the right number of meetings were completed. As for Jo would he actually have signed his contract whilst we were still Elite League members and therefore covered uner the 'protected asset' rules??
  12. No I think Peterborough wanted them to gain experience and have therefore paid the Witches (and others) to bring them on.
  13. As opposed to Nicki the WC (hopefully never again) who is a dirty bugger whether he needs to be or not!!
  14. With just one or two exceptions its very much a north/south split - was it really a random draw??
  15. I believe Elite League clubs can sign 1 'protected' asset each season who doesn't have to ride the minimum number of meetings in order to be held in their retained list.
  16. It certainly should have been stopped at that point - just because a rider doesnt fall doesnt mean there cant be an exclusion. The wording in the rule book is unfair/dangerous riding I believe. Nicki often launches front wheel up head back and legs akimbo and however much he may claim to be in control it is certainly dangerous. Whether he hits someone or not it should be an exclusion where he impedes another rider.Nicki is becoming a liability to the safety of the series and unless something is done I fear the consequences later in the year. His antics last night derserve a direpute ban in my opinion.
  17. I believe its like for like only unless the redeclared team comes in under the original points limit. 7.67 then.
  18. That wouldnt be strength in depth would it?? But we all know (because Aljack says so) that depth simply doesnt work!!!
  19. Check out the Rye House scores at Redcar tonight - genuine No1 Mr Gjedde 6 from 5 and failed to win heat 1 , 13 or 15 or indeed any heat. Not so straightforward is it.
  20. I would say dont hold your breathe for that to happen.........but in hindsight!!!!!
  21. So basically a token financial cap,a bit of posturing and moaning from the various parties and then it all carries on pretty much as normal!!
