  1. Well done to Plymouth last night. You are close to being a very good side and the changes you are calling for could well do the trick if made.Glanz impressed towards the end last night - not incredibly quick but rode intelligent lines to keep Dak behind in 14.
  2. Thanks for the ckarification. The wonders of 'special dispensation' - could speedway function without it!??
  3. Im not sure we can bring back Morten in place of Taylor. I thought that any rider left out of a redeclared 1 to 7 could not return to the line up that year. This may be different in this case given it was due to injury and not just being dropped.
  4. GB will have no contestant in the Olympic mixed carrot crunching after the entrant from Norfolk said that the rule stating his partner had to be his wife mother or cousin was too limiting a choice!!
  5. As unlikely as it is to happen (millions to one) the current ruling could leave the sport with the wrong world champion. Scenario - Hampel leads Hancock by one point going into the final of the last round and after a titanic 4 laps the race ends in a genuine dead heat. Hampel should be world champion as the points should be shared but instead Hancock is awarded the win due to his lower race number and picks up 2 extra points to pinch the title!!
  6. Just visited Bruv and my two boys are doing their bit for the Witches keeping Tay Tay racing in order with a spin on the spare machine - a Chuggington scooter with throttle clutch and mudguard!!!!!
  7. This may seem a bit strange but I need to make my second round predictions now as I won't be online for the next few weeks after tonight. My blind choices are Andreas Jonsson, Jarek Hampel, Bjarne Pedersen and Chris Harris. Hope thats OK. (Can't be much worse than round 1 anyway!!)
  8. Good question. If the answer is yes then the League Cup is 4 home and 4 away and so long as the rules havent changed (no guarantee there though!!) Cam and Rohan will get their new averages.Of course with the rest of the team having rolling averages even if Mats poor form continues his average will show a less dramatic drop.
  9. Despite being on the Ipswich retained list for the whole of his career Leigh has actually rarely raced for the Witches. He certainly didnt enjoy the old shape - particularly how it narrowed off turn 2 into the back straight.Since the revamp and the widening at that point Leigh has looked very comfortable at Foxhall. Over the years many Ipswich fans have been critical of Leigh, largely unfairly in my opinion, and I hope this doesn't come back to haunt us now and cause Leigh to choose to go elsewhere.
  10. Nearly - you might be able to guess who's fuel taps my bruv is responsible for at Foxhall and who happened to have some of Taylor's gear stored including his racesuit from last year! Crump,Hancock,Hampel,Gollob.......and wake up!!!
  11. Perhaps this shows just what a difference the new silencers make.
  12. I agree with you on this one.To be real contenders an overall improvement of around 5 points will be needed. This is a perfectly reasonable expectation for our team although by no means a foregone conclusion. By the end of the year I believe we will have a 'real' No1......its just a case of who it will be!!!
  13. Good to see the team officially ratified. Many are saying that on paper we are one of the strongest teams which of course is wrong....on paper we are one of the weakest given that we have failed to use 1.35 of the points limit. Only Redcar have used less I believe.
  14. I was responding to Steve Irvings post about British riders being out of work and his inference that this is the reason for the delay. I personally dont think this has anything to do with the current delay. The fact that teams have been ratified and the unequivocal BSPA statement backs this up.This of course seems to point to Heeps being the issue.Given Tungates Aussie Championship performance it would be unthinkable for him not to obtain an endorsement where others already have.
  15. If this is the reason then any team with a rider requiring a work permit should not have been ratified.Perhaps there is still time for all the averages to be removed again!?!
  16. Didnt mean to seem like I was having a go.I sensed your meaning.Just using your quote as a base for my own comment. If there is basis to the rumour my biggest surprise would be that it only involves 5 riders! If Tungate is one of the four and doesnt qualify then there are in the region of ten riders that shouldnt qualify including some that have already been declared/ratified.
  17. Bargains or not it should make no difference. They are either legitimate or not that is all that matters!
  18. Does this mean there could be a problem with Tungate's visa or is it around British partiality for Heeps?? If either is the case then a number of teams will surely also be similarly affected. If so chaos will ensue!!
  19. Surely there will be two more meetings of some kind to fill the gap??
  20. Has anyone heard if Press and Practice will be open to the fans this year?
