I applaud Aljack for a least setting out a constructive theory as this rarely is the case. As Mr S has pointed out the practacalities are somewhat different and this shows that Aljack also owns a pair of those rose tinted specs that he so often accuses others of wearing!!

Average is too high surely. About 5.6 in elite equates to over 9 in Premier.

I certainly accept your point of view on this.With the likes of Chris and Donkey around who were superb starters you would think there would be more hands on coaching. Even experienced riders as ours are would benefit as they wont always realise those little things that are just not quite right. Of course Chris wasnt there last week to do this.

What good did the practice actually do? Those that did go out just put it round mid track at 3/4 throttle.Perhaps just a bit of PR to show willing and no more. If we had seen them just concentrate on starts or tried different lines etc then may have been some point to it.

Even Leigh were to score 12 from 5 in each of the next 3 meetings his RA will drop so it is as good as given he wont be number 1 in August.

I dont believe anyone is deliberately not scoring points. Im told there is no lack of investment in equipment and time/effort to put things right. We will all find out what if anything will change in due course. Things can only get better though - surely!?

Thanks to my mate MrBeerhut who has let me know some info re rolling averages. Kev currently at No1 and due to drop only 22 points from next 4 meetings before August cut off. Leigh scored 42 in the 4 he wiil drop so likely to drop further. Rohan could get there but probably would need 4 max or Kev to score nil!! I would be happy to see the first but not the second!!
