  1. I think 3 different guests have come to Foxhall and got a max and a few more have come close so hopefully your choice will be the duff one to average it out!!
  2. Rebels will be hot favourites even without Doyle (get well soon) Even if Fisher has an off night the lower end of the Rebels seem to be in good form. I expect a 14 win for the home team to send the Witches home with a lot to do in the 2nd leg. Would love to be wrong! Up the Witches!
  3. I dont think it was the right decision just because my team went through. Had Worky been ahead on agg and been put through whilst being disappointed I would have accepted it as the right decision in the current circumstances. We cant keep faffing about with rearrangements for fixtures that should have been done and dusted in August. I dont think it sets a precedent for the future as it has been stated the decisions have been taken due to extreme circumstances.(unless of course we have the same scenario next year!) For what its worth I can see why Worky fans are disappointed as it was most likely they would have won had it gone full distance. But that is pure speculation and cannot form the basis for a decision. Hopefully next year will be a smoother journey and hopefully the Comets are still part of that journey.
  4. The right decision and pleased to see my team through. You have to feel for Worky given how their season has gone. Perhaps still a Koc final and a chance to gain revenge?!
  5. You cant just disregard heats that have been raced!! If we are going for silly make up rules you could say to call a meeting you need 12 heats so to call a 2 leg cup match you need 24 heats - we had 24 heats so the result stands!! That would be stupid but more sensible thatn deleting 6 heats that have been raced.
  6. That would be the most stupid choice of all choices to decide who goes through......of course that probably makes it most likely!!
  7. Wirches should not accept a 'hat draw'. Either go again or Witches to progress as they were still ahead on agg.
  8. Didnt the Witches have 3 fallers in point scoring positions in the early heats?? Seemed to me they were always in control and once the tie was won just went through the motions. Agree the Witches will need to be right on it all through to have any chance tonight.
  9. Any news as to whether Mat is fit for tonight? If not who is available as a guest?
  10. Beautiful day down here in Suffolk - I hope the sun has reached Edinburgh by now also. Whatever the result would be best to see it won and lost on a well preparedtrack rather than a weather affected lottery. Up the Witches!!
  11. I think Comets will sweep the Witches aside easily in this one unless they suffer problems in the first meeting.
  12. Even without Dak the Witches will be confident of holding on but it is in no way a foregone conclusion. The Monarchs have shown time and time again they can be formidable at home. The first 5 heats may well set the tone and the Witches need to be no more than 6 down at this point to put the pressure on the home side. The Witches to hang on - just!!
  13. Is the round planned to increase the series size further or to replace another? ie Will it be the Finnish GP or the Nordic GP.
  14. There are indeed many other factors but most costs woukd be the same in PL and EL.Rent insurance licences etc all the same. Yes points money is less but even if that was £5k a meeting that would be offset Sky money. So that may as likely mean that these asset sales balance the books rather than boost any potential profit.
  15. In theory yes all are equal. In theory all matches would finish in a draw. In which case why exclude certain matches as averages are a theory as to how good a rider is.
  16. Would you say that average crowd levels have dropped by 200 or more since Nicholls was sold?If the answer is yes then thats £50k+ each season of reduced revenue so its not hard to get through that sum of money.
  17. My view is that it should be all matches or if you start to exclude competitions that dont include all teams/even splits then it should be league matches only. Using League matches only would also stop manipulation of any early season competition(whatever the name or format) in preparation for the league campaign.
  18. But it was split in two so each team didnt ride each other. And my the team Ipswich will ride only 1 less team in the KOC than the League Cup but those dont count towards the averages. I believe all teams took part in the KOC so the Plymouth reason doesnt fit there.
  19. Thats what I was saying to a mate last week who was convinced they did. However there is no more reason for them not to count than the north/south split League Cup fixtures from the start of the season that do so my mates view is not completely stupid albeit wrong!
  20. Does this competition count towards the rolling averages? Anyone know the official line?
