I tend to agree in the main that it is not needed for the BSPA to explain their business decisions on this forum or elsewhere. However Brewers post was in no way critical of Sheffield but simply stated he thought they proposed the idea. Even if it was wrong it hardly caused Sheffield offence/embarrassment and therefore didnt warrant the imolied legal threat. A simple it wasnt Sheffields idea would have been enough to correct him if a correction was felt needed.

So it wasnt Sheffields idea - hardly requires the implied threat of legal proceedings! Perhaps you you would like to clear it up for us all to avoid further confusion. Proposer ??? Seconded ??? How did everyone vote??? What was the agreed consequence of non compliance?

I think it says a lot about the meeting that 'chairgate' holds sway over comment about the racing!

Looking at how it went at Foxhall you would expect a home win by about 10 points. The Witches will need to show that the cobwebs have been well and truly blown away in order to pick up anything. So that said my prediction - Rye 43 Witches 47. If you cant be optimistic at the start of the season when can you be!!

Wont the Witches just cover the missing BPs for our own riders though? They wont be the only ones officially or otherwise. Im sure the pay cap will be just as religiously adhered to.

A win is a win however it comes. This is the type of meeting we would have lost last year. A few of the boys looked a bit sluggish and the lack of track time seemed to show. Good to see them out afterwards getting in a few laps. Superb team riding from Ben made all the difference today along with an inspired Cam. Not the time for critisism of any individual at this stage imo. Adams heat 2 win was a glimpse of his potential - nice style smooth and quick. Heres to many more.

3 times today and twice it worked and that was the the Witches won today. Well done Ben.

Exactly - its not like its come about trying to fit around postponements etc - there was a blank list to work with.Yes it affects my team this time but I would think the same whomever was affected.

Perhaps its all hands to the pumps to try to ensure the best possible show. Given the weather of the last couple of days Id say there is not doubt its on. Just needs lots of layers and plenty of hot refreshment and hopefully some hot racing.

Genuine question and not just to wind things up - is r/r an option when the rider hasnt ridden? Would it need a 'special dispensation' ? I believe it would and should be granted (if needed)

Surely it would have been possible to arrange the fixtures without a clash - with a non Thursday track visiting Scunny on the night of the Edinburgh semi with both teams Brits at the Sheff semi.

Perhaps not going to Scunny that night. Seems poor planning.

So Ipswich will go to Scunthorpe without their top 2 who will be at Edinburgh or have them missing from a home meeting if the 2 are at Sheffield.

I picked mine up from local Sainsburys where there will usually be 3 or 4 on the shelf but this week there was 20 and they have now all gone. Had I have missed out I would have picked 1 up at Foxhall on Good Friday.
