I havent made a trip to Leicester and cant again this time. If all what I read is true the Witches will need their gating gloves on. It would interesting to hear the thoughts of the Lions fans that came to Ipswich as to how the racing compared to a typical Leicester meeting. The Lions were actually 2 up at Foxhall at heat 7 so must start as favourites at home. I think the Witches will get something from this one but difficult to decide if it will be 1 2 or 3 points so I'll go down the middle for a draw.

It only managed to complete one lap due to a problem. It looked like the plug came out and the water gushed out soaking a patch at the apex of 3 and 4. By time it was fixed only one lap possible.

Just the last couple of heats. The breeze takes any dust away from the pits towards bend 2 and the back straight. Had the full sun been out earlier it may have caused more of an issue. In heat 15 from bend 2 it was hard to see then entering bend 3. A small price to pay for such a good performance Id say.

For an afternoon meeting that was pretty good. A couple of excellent heats including Bens win from last to first from nowhere which Im sure will be in this years superheats. Shame that Morten just missed out on a max eh Jackal!! Looked touch and go at half way so it really was a great effort to win by as many.

There is a 'best banner' comp for this match - if Dak rides there could be some interesting ones!!

Howe v Dyer on Tuesday was a racing incident - North v Barker was not it was a deliberate move far removed from racing.

Well done to Rohan - quick smooth and accomplished and a deserved winner. Also Manzares was quite impressive - decent pace and aggression but just a bit slow off the start. Certainly a decent prospect that you could see doing very well in the future.
