  1. Witches v Somerset in 2nd leg of League Cup final this Thursday. The dates added to the list recently were Sat 27th and Weds 31st for final/rain off reserve date. It would make sense for it to be Sat 27th to leave Weds for a rain off of either final.
  2. I tend to agree with all you are saying here but there is always that optimist in me to think it could still be possible?! It will take all 7 to do their bit and we cant afford the silly falls etc that we have so often seen this year. It aint over til its over!!
  3. Impressive score from him tonight it seems. Can somebody who was there outline how he performed- was he good value for his points?
  4. Unfortunately my 14 point prediction was right. Rebels big favourites now. Lets hope the secondleg can go ahead to get a real result whichever way it goes.
  5. Witches have 25th 27th and 31st on fixture calender but no scope for rained off final.
  6. I was taking that as a given hence the need for a big win for the Witches at Sheffield. Rye 2x3 point home wins, 2 pts at Sheff and 1 at Ipswich = 9 pts Ipswich 3+2 at home, nothing at Rye plus Sheff away need 4 pts from big win = 9pts Then its down to race points.
  7. I think the sensiblr thing would be for Rye to go through and scrap the trip to Sheffield. That said there was mention of a neutral venue for the Sheff match so you never know!
  8. Tecnically if Ipswich win at Sheffield by about 30 they could go through on better race points difference!!
  9. Has just been announced at Foxhall that new date being discussed and that it could be at a neutral venue!!
  10. Perhaps Sheff results will be expunged and a simple aggregate used from Witches/Rye fixtures. If rain tonight Rye to be seeded through.
  11. For once I can see the BSPA logic. The Witches had that blank Thursday where they couldnt ride at home (world stock car) so a trip to Sheff was possible.
  12. I'll take that - with a real name of Richard you get used to the obvious option!!
  13. Obviously a bit too clever for you with this one - you said if ..... then your name isnt.....Hence I had to give you a new one! Only joking - Im looking forward to the final whoever gets through. Both attractive opposition who have been good value entertainment at Foxhall. And for the record I agree the winners of your semi will be favourites.
  14. Perhaps they could have let each side pick a heat in turn as to which ones were included - 9 each!!!
  15. I think 3 different guests have come to Foxhall and got a max and a few more have come close so hopefully your choice will be the duff one to average it out!!
  16. Rebels will be hot favourites even without Doyle (get well soon) Even if Fisher has an off night the lower end of the Rebels seem to be in good form. I expect a 14 win for the home team to send the Witches home with a lot to do in the 2nd leg. Would love to be wrong! Up the Witches!
  17. I dont think it was the right decision just because my team went through. Had Worky been ahead on agg and been put through whilst being disappointed I would have accepted it as the right decision in the current circumstances. We cant keep faffing about with rearrangements for fixtures that should have been done and dusted in August. I dont think it sets a precedent for the future as it has been stated the decisions have been taken due to extreme circumstances.(unless of course we have the same scenario next year!) For what its worth I can see why Worky fans are disappointed as it was most likely they would have won had it gone full distance. But that is pure speculation and cannot form the basis for a decision. Hopefully next year will be a smoother journey and hopefully the Comets are still part of that journey.
  18. The right decision and pleased to see my team through. You have to feel for Worky given how their season has gone. Perhaps still a Koc final and a chance to gain revenge?!
  19. You cant just disregard heats that have been raced!! If we are going for silly make up rules you could say to call a meeting you need 12 heats so to call a 2 leg cup match you need 24 heats - we had 24 heats so the result stands!! That would be stupid but more sensible thatn deleting 6 heats that have been raced.
  20. That would be the most stupid choice of all choices to decide who goes through......of course that probably makes it most likely!!
  21. Wirches should not accept a 'hat draw'. Either go again or Witches to progress as they were still ahead on agg.
