  1. I suppose it comes down to how confident each team is with how R/R would cover the loss of their No1. The Rebels probably expect Doyle to score 13-15 and the Witches 11-13 from Barker. R/R for the Rebels is more likely to get close to that score than for the Witches. So its a strange one - the Rebels may be better off with R/R but the fans miss out on the' big name' No1s or the home fans see full teams but risk a points swing against their team.
  2. Another great win. Re Morten - there is a month before the play offs to see how it goes. Better to find if it works or not now. Can always switch again if needed.
  3. Agree with this -my previous draw prediction revised to a 10 point win for the Witches.
  4. Is Adam fit to ride? He had to withdraw at Stoke last night after 2 falls.
  5. That is a rearranged fixture as well albeit before our one.Not sure about which takes preferences in those circumstances. My guess would be we end up with a guest for Ben.
  6. Best wishes to Robbo for a speedy recovery. Right up there on my list of all time favourite non Witches. A wholehearted tough but fair rider and a joy to watch. Newcastle and the PL are the poorer without him.
  7. Looks like a close one to me that could go either way. Dak may well be up for it andscore more heavily than he has to date. Is Screenie fit? If not who is likely to guest? I will go for another away draw for the Witches.
  8. If this was Betfair Id be cashing out right now on that offer!!
  9. So would I but I am expecting a much more competitive performance. I will go for 52 - 40 but hope for a Worky type turnaround. Up the Witches!!
  10. I don't think the turnstiles were opened at any point. After the call off the main gate was opened and you could go in and view the track. IMO the right decision was made but a little too late.
  11. The Witches season has turned around a bit since that first visit and now they need to prove they can do it at a track where it is not easy to avoid a pasting. Would be estatic to see a point come back to Suffolk.
  12. I arrived at 7.10 just as it was called off. Firstly - definately the right decision. Too wet and with rain still falling (heavy as I left at 7.35) Secondly - call off should have been hours ago. There was no way there had been deteriation in a short space of time. Pragmatically no big deal for me as only a few minutes from home and given earlier in the day I had moved only 200 yards in an hour on an Motorway sliproad tonight was quite a pleasant drive!! Feel for those with longer journeys though.
  13. Im not on Facebook or Twitter - any update re the final decision?
  14. Just back in Ipswich and really surprised to hear its still otn given the progress reports I had been getting re the weather. Then again just glad to be home after 5+ hours on the road from Birmingham and a magical mystery tour supplied by the sat nav to avoid the 16 mile tailback on the M6!
  15. Will be interesting to see just how good Bech looks 'in the flesh' so to speak. If he is sensational and Lemon turns up then it will be closer than many think. Hope Cam is fit to take on his friend Rasmus but would rather he sit it out if he may be risking furtjer damage.
  16. Very happy with the draw (as predicted!) Im sure some will point to too many last places costing us the win but Id rather see it as Adam and Ritchies one good ride each gaining the draw. Glass half full night tonight!
  17. and perhaps he should have been in the World Cup team as well....hindsight is a wonderful thing.
  18. Im having a bit of a shocker this year! Do I get a wildcard for 2014 - I was on the rostrum in 2012!
  19. So if Middlo was asking for a run off and you feel aggrieved this was ignored then presumably you think Middlo should get the pick (?)The fact he would have had a run off shows he didnt know who he would pick (groundhog day!) Who would be in the run off or would there be a series of run offs!? Who needs a run off - they have all had about 100 races in the EL this year what would 1 more prove?
  20. From the tone of your posts it seems you dont think it should be Danny. If not why not? Who instead and why?
  21. There are no qualification rules for this type of situation. I have no idea who made the decision but Danny would certainly be the most consistent Brit outside those who have already had a GP chance.
  22. It all depends on whether 'the management' actually think there is a real problem. From before the start of the season I had advocated Leigh at 3 and Rohan at 5 so I 100% agree with SBs order. In general team spirit this year seems much better than in many previous seasons so its far from all bad.
  23. I take it you dont like my opening comment!I certainly wasnt belittling Ryes injury situation which has been the worst of any in the league. It was more that with so much scope within the points limit at the start of the season it could have been possible for Rye to be title challengers IMO. Injuries have forced changes and proved other options were available that may have achieved that. Rye have been competitive DESPITE an under strength starting line up and the injuries and have therefore shown they may have been capable of much more. My comment really was a compliment as on the face of it Rye should be stone cold bottom of league given this set of circumstances.
