If its the latter they pick the 10th ranked rider in draft 1 thus getting first pick in draft 2. The fact that protection is then lost means nothing as they get first pick in draft 2. Edit Just seen BWitchers post which makes sense and stops that abuse.

So have Poole got to declare their draft 1 pick first? I thought they had last pick? I suppose it could be that another club has to attempt to pick Newman in draft 1 and so force Poole to invoke their protection in draft 1 and pick hum then.

So Poole get last pick in draft 1 and dont pick Newman but instead pick No10 on the list. They lose the protection to pick Newman but as they have the lowest ranked rider from draft 1 get first pick in draft 2. So they then get Newman anyway and end up with by far the strongest pairing. The only thing to prevent this happening is another team making a lowly pick in draft 1.

I dont do Twitter but was told a couple of days ago he had tweeted that he had agreed a PL. But where?..... I hope Leigh gets sorted out soon. The problem for him (and many others) is he is in that funny average range. It always seems to be that 6-7 type rider that juggled.

Good to hear Baldyman - a bit of banter , the odd wind up etc but all friends in the end- just as it should be.

Many PL sides will have the same problem with the shift on the ruling. It has to be right that the owning club gets priority though. Better to have him for 24 out of 28 than not at all I say.

I dont know Joe but he doesnt strike me as the sort that would see it as anything other than the light hearted comment it was intended as.
