  1. Mentioned on the visas thread that Rohan is perhaps one of those affected. Anyone know anymore detail?
  2. The Danish leagues are just half baked non professional stuff - just ask Somerset - they mean nothing! wink
  3. Not easy to compare all season tickets as many cover differing number of meetings as opposed to others that cover all meetings.
  4. Complete opposite with my subscription copy - xmas eve (tues) then not until thurs 2 nd for next one!
  5. Updates stated Rohan had a puncture in his last ride - what position was he in at the time? Did it cost him a B final place?
  6. Or with a positive slant perhaps production can start now a sponsor has been found!
  7. Although still not right. That certainly wasnt 'the spin' at the time -it was always implied as patrialty. Despite my team benefiting in the Heeps case I do think this is an area that needs to be watertight. I believe there needs to be a commitment to GB with penalties if this is not adhered to.
  8. Thanks for that HT. So the 'mistake' was to allow him to ride NL. Rightly or wrongly once he had ridden NL presumably Cam came in on a 3 legitimately under that category?
  9. Rebels fans may want to check out the Leicester thread re Doyle.
  10. I disagree - I see Morten as the steady middle man and nothing more which Im sure he will do. The keys are Rohan showing he could challenge as a no1 and Adam kicking on as hoped IMO.
  11. Did the criteria get re-written? Was it different in 2011? HalifaxTiger - Cam has Brit grandparents.
  12. Its a shame that Heeps and Morris were not given any encouragement to continue as GB riders.
  13. Welcome home Gavan - thought you had moved to Poole!! Not looking too far out Id say. Personally Id throw in Scunthorpe instead of Berwick though. Worky look the stand out team to me.
  14. It was clear that Monster had underwritten the event with numerous mentions through the broadcast for fans to text their friends and encourage them to watch online for free but to make sure to contact Monster to let them know youd like more of the same next year. Also mentions of viewers all around the world and asking them to do the same. A number of other sponsors (mostly US local) also got a solid share of airtime including Hagon Shocks. Came across as a slickly organised and run event that attracted a healthy and enthusiastic crowd.
  15. Just caught up with the action this morning - the link is still active for anyone who wants to check it out. Some decent races.Great ride in the final from Scotty. Looks like a couple decent youngsters to look out for in the future too!
  16. I am one of the number that would have Leigh ahead of Morten as he is more consistent away from home. However I can see why Morten got the nod as there is still that hope that the enigma will finally deliver what it is believed he should be capable of at PL level. Can he produce a purple patch that lasts a season and not just a month or so?
  17. I will bow to your expert judgement on the one - I havent checked the exact distances/travel times. Was going purely on the instinct that Boro always seemed quicker and easier to get to than Rye from Ipswich.
  18. No team as yet and few if any options now available. May well be sitting out the start of the season.
  19. It seems 10 years in British Speedway is the only criteria now. No longer does it need to be with only one club/promoter.
  20. You can make a jump start despite being still and not touching the tapes. The trouble is Speedway has no way of proving it to be the case as they can in Athletics for example. The majority of 'blinders' are of course actually rollers and totally illegal. Too many riders sit too far back from the tapes and get awat with it.
  21. Tay broke his femur a few months ago and announced his retirement.
  22. The Laguta brothers are unproven over here as are dozens of Poles Danes and Swedes - should they all be on a 3? No - thats why criteria for other categories are set such as experience riding in other professional leagues each with a different assessed average. Its one of the clearer sections of the rule book. For some those set levels will appear too high and for others too low but it is the most appropriate course of action. There should however be no judgement as to whether the average is 'false' for an individual only that the correct category has been applied. As yet this has not happened with Brady Kurtz.
