I think 4 of the 8 named are 'assets'. Leigh always has been - he was always loaned out. Morten was purchased when we went PL. Cam and Rohan have only ever turned out for us and there has never been anything to suggest they signed anywhere else first. Indeed much had been made of them as new assests to rebuild for the future.

Witches fans would all welcome Scotty back anytime. As a No 1 some would have reservations although gor me that would depend on the set up of the league. If it was like for like as now then I see him as a 2nd or 3rd heat leader but with an expanded 12+ team league and the inevitable lower limit that would come with that then he could still be a No1. Interesting times ahead over these next few weeks.Lots of detail still to be thrashed out before we know the answers.

2 leagues seems certain - just a matter of whether the Elite has 1 or 2 or more additional teams. That balance will determine any shift in points limit/team make up.

Still feeling gutted that my Witches team didnt get to this one - I was hoping to make one last contribution to Statmans excellently produced programme! I feel the Rebels have too much strength in depth. Davies is like a 4th heat leader at home. The only way the Monarchs can win is for it not to take place IMO.As a neutral I think I can get away with saying that where a Rebels fan would be accused of smugness or arrogance. Firstly all the best wishes to Tabaka - whatever the rights and wrongs of the Morris move the most important point is his well being. In truth his withdrawal had little impact on last nights score - perhaps 1 point. However r/r at Somerset will make the Monarchs weaker - they may now lose by 24 rather than 20. wink!

Im a jealous Witches fan looking out of my window and blue sky and sunshine - wouldve been a perfect day for a play off final here in Ipswich today!! Best of luck to both sides - whoever wins will deserve it because they have done the business when it mattered most. I think the Monarchs need at least 10 points advantage to put the pressure on. Gotta fancy the Rebels overall bit you never know! Hopefully it wont be the weather that has the final say.

Should be British based riders if not British riders only. Also think any Brit should be allowed regardless of average. 3 per team is too many though and it is this part that has caused most problems IMO.

I believe that any rider requiring a visa has to be provided with accomodation and subsistence funds (£150pwk?) to meet the visa criteria so a good number already have some 'guarantees'

I think you could simply have an average average. Convert the PL points to a El value(60%) add to EL points and divide by total rides from both leagues.

IF Sky stick with it I can see it being on the basis that their outlay is no more than just the production costs. The clubs would get no Sky payout. It would then be down to the BSPA to find a headline sponsor to bridge the gap. At the moment the second part of that sounds pie in the sky(pun intended) but stranger things have happened!

Ive got a feeling we could be looking at 2 leagues not 3 next year. Each pitched between the current EL/PL and PL/NL. That makes picking a team difficult. Need to have a few variations to suit the possible set ups.

If the first leg is called off presumably they will forfeit a home leg? There would obviously be no other option available to them going by the comments on here! wink

I can see Edinburghs frustration as they have ready to race for a fortnight. However I remember last year when Ipswich were ready in June for the cup semi and were kept waiting til September by the Monarchs. Funny how opinions change when the boot is on the other foot!

Cam update.... First check went well - bone knit already better than would be expected so soon after. Also has more movement than expected at this stage. New cast fitted. Good news - just needs to take care and do as little as possible with it!

surely its down to Somerset todecide what they want and for Edinbyrgh to fit in around them. Of course a Redcar shock and its problem solved!
