Didnt Len Silver say something very similar about Nelson? Thought all the paperwork was in place before Nelson left only to find out it had all gone pear shaped after all. FWIW Id like to see it sorted and all the visas issued but unfotunately doesnt look likely.

One point Id say is relevant is that about in order for a rider on a tier 5 visa to compete then ALL clubs would have to obtain a tier 5 licence regardless of whether they themselves have a rider on that visa. Presumably this comes at some cost and so you can understand clubs saying no - unless Somerset and the others are going to fund all 23 licences.

Also stated that it will be unlikely to have a positive impact for this year but hope to get it sorted for the future.

Obvious choice as he is probably the only rider to justisfy a guranteed place in a 4 man WC team.
