  1. Spooky for this to come up as I was thinking of starting a thread to ask the question. Previously of course the split of fixtures was used as a reason to disregard them but with the additional league fixtures this year that wouldnt hold up as valid. So then Abbott what is Rosens new average for next week??
  2. There is a thin thin between confidence and arrogance and at this stage few if any wouldve seen enough of Lambert to really know which side of the line he is on. Whichever it is Id say that this is a misguided piece for him to have agreed to release from a PR point of view.
  3. I think its just the opposite - Cam needs more racing not less. The bone doesnt need to heal anymore and the pain is gone - just needs to get race fit and back in the groove. Feeling woosy and a bit second hand to say the least he said to me after. A big knock to the head. It was all a bit straightforward in the end with the Rebels never really in it which was very surprising. May have been different had Wright started as he finished. we couldnt have asked for a better start from Gino. If he can show any kind of form away from Foxhall he could be a contender for newcomer of the year.
  4. The reserves in the EL draft wont obtain an average from those meetings. There will be no impact on 2015 places from 2014 EL performances. An EL average for 2015 will be a conversion of their 2015 PL average.
  5. The teams tend to go up on the website on Tuesday so likely to find out then - unless some kind soul in the know enlightens us beforehand.
  6. The Witches started with a comfortable win over a spirited Rockets side but now face the Rebels who were mighty impressive at Plymouth. Meetings between these sides have been one of the highlights of our time in the PL and this should be more of the same. This could be a true barometer of our credentials as challengers for honours in 2014. Witches 46 Rebels 44 for me.
  7. Rolf Harris used to favour the bigger picture and look how that turned out!! wink/tongue in cheek etc etc
  8. hopefully next week the only battering that gets mentioned is that of the Rebels!
  9. Nickis gone soft leaving such a big gap! Tut tut - I thought talk of Darcys sudden spurts were banned on this forum! lol
  10. The bone didnt heal as well as hoped but the recent op I understand was as much about pain management as injury repair.
  11. Im far from a fan of Nicki and would rarely give him the benefit of the doubt in a 50/50 situation but this time I cant see he has done anything wrong .
  12. "we have a mixture of riders with red and blue looking to block out white" Thats my favourite so far just surpassing "Its proving an advantage to have 2 strong riders" No sh!t Sherlock!
  13. Gotta be happy with that! For Cam and Rohan to score just 9 between them and we still win by 10 is a great start. A well deserved heat 15 spot for Adam who was the highlight of the night. Superb 6+2 from Gino, excellent from our new No1 and solid from Morten and Ritchie. Cant wait til next week!
  14. one positive - it reminded me to set the series link for Crimewatch.
  15. get me a stick of spearmint rock while youre there! Sparkle can pay from last weeks sweepstake money!
  16. Also mentioned by Michael Palin in 'Around the world in 80 days'
  17. So after seeing the opening night performances I will plump for a 4 point Witches win. Think it wiil go down to the wire.
  18. Looked in a little pain after the meeting. Wrist a bit sore I think. Hopefully nothing that a day or two of rest wont sort.Tay got a deserved warm welcome back at Foxhall as did Leigh(awarded rider of the night) Good luck to them both.
  19. Absolutely agree - hence my comnent re needing the LC to get himself sorted. Patience is a virtue as they say.
  20. Tungate did indeed look awesome. Morten also confident and quick. Worrall was in the mix but seemed to have a few gremlins and slowed as the races progressed. Hawkins determined as ever.(hope Tay is ok after their tumble as he looked in a bit of pain post meeting) Manzares was very on the pace which was encouraging - just needs to not give up those precious yards from the start. Heeps the one real concern if there is a need to highlight any.Didnt look on the pace and it wasnt machine as Louis was using his for the match races and was quick enough. Still early days for his recovery though so confident he will come good. The LC should sort him out. Just as well he hasnt signed for Somerset though! lol
