Just had a message from a mate that he has heard Gino has left hospital and is basically OK but will miss Plymouth tomorrow.

It was right for changes to be considered. When the team is 1.7 below the limit and there are less than convincing performances it would be silly not to think about it. However equally you only make changes if you think it will be an improvement. Obviously things were left as they are because it was considered what we have was the best option and that has been proved correct. All credit to the team for the way they have responded and for the faith shown by the management to allow them to prove it. Looking forward to a big month of similar performances and an exciting finale to the season. Uo the Witches!

We really have been lucky in sunny Suffolk - all fixtures comfortably completed including having been part of the larger LC group and in KOCup semi. Also had blank dates in June and in August with no meeting!! Do agree that the extra fixtures are silly and should be dropped as much because it just doesnt make sense to have an uneven fixture list as the potential for congestion.

From what I hear there is plenty of advice offered. Sometimes its taken sometimes not. Sometimes it works sometimes not. Certainly one rider was resisting advice to change gearing from last years tried and tested set up for the early part of the year but has now switched with very positive results.

he did look slow in a couple of heats but give me a rider looking slow and scoring 11 over one on a rocketship scoring 6 anyday!

The points we lose with Adam missing will balance the fact that I dont expect Stead to be as dominant so I expect just a bit larger margin than Thursday. Will go with 56-38.

I dont expect us to get past the play off group stage as we havent shown any likelyhood of winning away at the top clubs. Cant see past a Somerset/Edinburgh final. Would love to be wrong though! TBC at 7? Adam not named in the Lakeside line up so presuming he is still feeling the effects of last weeks crash (or have I missed something?)

Cant see it being that bad Baldy - or are you trying that reverse psycology stuff? If we want to show we are true contenders then we should be winning this type of fixture. Expect a 10 point defeat.

My boys are 9 & 11 and whilst they both spend hours on their boxes it is the eldest that is the 'addicted' one. When it comes to Speedway however the youngest can take it or leave it and isnt that bothered even when its free yet the eldest now comes every week and is really 'getting into it' I dont think any activities are mutually exclusive.

get him looking at updates or enrolled on the forum - increase his interest in Speedway whilst on his dads phone!
