  1. Who knows what the Witches might do? Anything from a 20 point defeat to a 20 point win is possible from this team at present. Eenie meenie minie mo - draw!!
  2. Seems like there is just no way to predict which Ipswich will turn up away from home. Will it be the Wonderful Witches or the Woeful Witches? I expect Worky to win this by 12.
  3. Squaring up and a bit of fisticuffs is one thing but swinging a helmet at someone is well out of order.
  4. Always try to look for the positives - 20 down after heat 6 and lose by 17 so managed to hold our own in the last 9 heats even ignoring the tac. Clutching at straws maybe but its the best I can do.
  5. I agree that Morten is the key man for us. If he can continue his great form and get a decent return at a track where he has never done well we could get close. Key man for the Scorpions is Jorgensen IMO. Has seemed at times like he will struggle to score and them can bang in 15+. His contribution will go a long way to determining who comes out on top.
  6. those posts are all in the Ipswich 2014 thread where we were talking about all 3 away meetings.
  7. It will be tough for either of them to qualify but all the best to both of them. Back the Brits!!
  8. in reality Tays average hasnt dropped at all. It is down to rolling averages. Before his arm injury he had an ave of 6.99. After his return his rolling ave was 5.99. However his actual scores after his return were way down and his ave from those in isolation was about 4.5. Add to that another year out with the broken leg and Id say it not a surprise that to date he is around 4.5. Get his head in gear and keep his equipment in shape and he has a fair bit of improvement in him - especially from reserve.
  9. of course but the original declaration has to have been submitted. eg Josh G or guest and the facility for Wells
  10. Thats a big shame all round. I for one was hoping to see him in the return fixture next month.
  11. The line ups should be known by now. Under the regs the home side should declare 5 days ahead.
  12. I agree that anybody in that outside position would have ended up on the floor and there was contact. Also although I think Harris was the primary cause I wasnt surprised to see Scott excluded. Of course Scott possibly shouldnt have even been in the heat as he was lucky to get the all 4 earlier so perhaps the old saying of things even themselves out really is true!
  13. certainly not relying on it as I think my comments suggest. Any news on how much longer Berge will be out for?
  14. agree that the contact on bend 4 was heavier - possibly as so much speed had been scrubbed off at that point and the fact that Harris probably felt he could still clamp Nicholls and retain the lead? Normal line as in he made a normal turn. Scott didnt run on past the corner or out wider with the aim to ride Harris out. I do think Harris bailed but not with a view to get Scott excluded but because he realised he hadnt 'won' the position on the track he needed and had no other choice. His mistake not Scotts IMO.
  15. That is very different. The track curator deliberately only going over only the home gates consistently is poor sportsmanship. That posistion to an extent should be impartial. Its down to the referee to ensure fair grading takes place. A rider preparing his own grid is part of the game. If he had been tampering with ruts in the other positions there could be a case.
  16. didnt realise that. Could swing it a bit our way - perhaps only a14 point defeat! wink
  17. Scunny is somewhere we rarely perform well at but they are very inconsistent so could be anywhere between a sneaky narrow win or a 20+ defeat. Jorgensen at reserve will be the key depends if he scores 5 or 15. The same could be said for the trip to Workys walking(or not in some cases) wounded. I wouldnt put my house on getting a point at either. Glasgow in theory is the one where we should be targeting a win but they will bouyed by their cup success and be looking at making it back to back home wins. I will go for 3 points overall but without pinning any on to a particular meeting.
  18. so the decision was who caused the contact? Nicholls - in front and on a normal racing line who turns at the exact point he wouldve even if riding alone. Harris - behind and cutting in left on a line that wouldve seen him clip unnaturally across the apex of turn 1 had he have taken it on his own.
  19. bloody kids nowadays -thats the road sign showing the way to Kings Lynn he has stolen.
  20. I dont think AJ would agree following his experience a while back.
  21. I thought much of it was just tongue in cheek fun. Tai was relaxed and ready to race. Whilst everyone was faffing between the re runs he was just amusing himself. I didnt see him do anything to interfere with any part of the start the other 3 would use. If he had the time to get a rake and a shovel then why not. If the 2 mins was ticking he wouldnt have. Ive seen it a Foxhall this year where other team members have gathered handfuls of loose stuff from near the fence to pack into gate 1 for the rider nominated in heat 15 so its not unique.
  22. if it had been Pedersen then Harris wouldnt have fallen at the first bend.... ....he wouldve been through the fence before they reached the start/finish line.
  23. perhaps someone had a word and said "Tai,its the final - you need to make sure you gate like sh!t off a shovell"
