I know you meant the weather but turned out to be the team performance! In all seriousness though it doesnt mean Worky are a bad side. Look at my Witches side who have regrouped after a an awful run to show real character. Worky are more than capable of that but just not showing it right now. I think it sums up the PL this year - there are a lot of really competitive sides and there will be plenty of this type of result.

I think you are reading negativity into it that simply isnt there. From what I see all the boys get on great - genuine friends rather than just team mates. I think it was meant as a 'well done Rohan - we knew youd come good' rather than an 'about time' dig.

Hopefully there will be the unexpected break in the weather just as happened last night. If so and conditions are not lottery like then it will be a good battle. Lawson and Summers looked on it last night and Wilko and Graversen looked more determined than I remember from previous recent visits ti Foxhall so Id expect the home fans to be confident. I think the Witches will be up for it though and think we can sneak something out of this one.

Shame the rain came as it had been a decent meeting.Done well to get in 12 heats despite a few stoppages. Was definately the right decision regardless of the score. Lap 1 of heat 12 was like a normal heat but by the end of the race they were starting to aquaplane and tge time was nearly 6 seconds slower. Rain was lashing down and hasnt stopped since. The Witches just about deserved all 3 points. Very impressed with Lawson - he has stepped up a notch for sure. Must be an outside bet for a World Cup place IMO.

Nearly didnt bother when it rained at 7. Track looks tip top!! Remarkable really. Just need to get a wriggle on whilst its dry. Cmon the Witches - 53-39.

Passed the stadium at about 5.25. A few small puddles on the entrance drive but nothing bad and not currently raining so positive at the moment. Not seen any sun yet though Beerhut!

Been raining in woodbridge for the last hour and now getting heavier. Will be going past the stadium in next few minutes so will provide an update soon.

Unfortunately looks bleak for tonight and tomorrow. Never good to have to look at rearrangements but even worse given the problem of race night clash.

and thats the catch 22 situation. We should be applauding a promoter who sticks to the limits and budgets as the sport is stretched enough financially. However that same promoter knows that those extra payments could mean a more competitive side resulting in gaining(or at least not losing) 100s on the gate so by playing by the rules he losing out both on and off the track.

Whatever the rules/regs/agreements state about payments to be made doesnt mean that is what happens whether its air fares signing on fees points money or anything else. wink

Well the Witches put in an excellent start and a decent end to our visit to the Monarchs to show we can be competitive anywhere. Just need more of the same and to cut out the disasterous middle to be in the mix for a win for this one. Sounds easy but of course pulling it off will take a big determined effort where all 7 contribute. I think the boys can do it and will plump for a 2 point Witches win.

Thanks to the Monarchs Chatzone for the updates. Excellent first 5 heats for the Witches and decent last 5 heats. Unfortunately the 5 in the middle count towards the score too! When 3 of the side fail to beat an opponent a 20 point defeat is as good as you can expect. Therein is the positive - the Witches are capable of returning to a place like Edinburgh and running them close or even pulling out a shock if they all get it right on the night. Well done to the Monarchs - a fine win for a fine side. Finally - sounded nasty for Fox. Any early news? Hopefully not too serious.
