  1. 7.75 against 7.63 so quite close. RW down to 6.90. Cam stays ar reserve -just - 5.15 against RH 5.19. Team total now around the 42.5 limit.
  2. New averages now on BSPA site. Congratulations Rohan - new Witches No1.
  3. Preview on Witches website states full strength side at Sheffield so looks as though TBC is actually Adam.
  4. I dont expect us to get past the play off group stage as we havent shown any likelyhood of winning away at the top clubs. Cant see past a Somerset/Edinburgh final. Would love to be wrong though! TBC at 7? Adam not named in the Lakeside line up so presuming he is still feeling the effects of last weeks crash (or have I missed something?)
  5. Cant see it being that bad Baldy - or are you trying that reverse psycology stuff? If we want to show we are true contenders then we should be winning this type of fixture. Expect a 10 point defeat.
  6. My boys are 9 & 11 and whilst they both spend hours on their boxes it is the eldest that is the 'addicted' one. When it comes to Speedway however the youngest can take it or leave it and isnt that bothered even when its free yet the eldest now comes every week and is really 'getting into it' I dont think any activities are mutually exclusive.
  7. get him looking at updates or enrolled on the forum - increase his interest in Speedway whilst on his dads phone!
  8. Just awaiting confirmation of his elevation to No1 in the gradings fron Sept 1st then. wink!
  9. The six man team was dropped so that Ipswich couldnt retain the 98 team. I understand there was a rule at the start of the year that if you used the same 6 with no changes then you could retain it in 99 regardless of averages. Obviously the rest didnt want that.
  10. Not good news - effectively could be out for the rest of the season then. A colleague at work has recently been signed off for six weeks as a result of a spiral fracture of his upper arm
  11. Disappointing but not totally unexpected. Ultimately a result that makes no difference to how the seasons honours will be shared out but the Witches will need find a way to do better away at the top sides if they have any hope of lifting the big prize. Hopefully Allen and Kurtz are OK.
  12. Monarchs Rebels Bandits and Witches now all in IMO. Last 2 spaces still between the next 4-5 and could go anyway.
  13. Despite our recent good form I dont expect even a point for the Witches. Anything less than a 16 point loss would be a decent effort. If we pull off a win I think I will start a count!! #englishsmugs lol
  14. Another excellent Witches performance. Team spirit looks great and the boys are buzzing. Worky looked just the opposite - a bit tentative and lacking confidence. Effectively the real season starts at the end of this month and the 6 weeks that follow are where it all counts. Hopefully we can carry on this current form through to the end and who knows where it could lead.......
  15. I think the only reason he has been singled out is that he is the best example this year.Agree that he could still be worthwhile on a 5. Thats just the point - if they are good enough they are more than welcome. If not then team takes the risk of the shortfall. If they are not good enough they shouldnt be here.
  16. I rate Worky highly and they should provide a stern test. They have riders that go well at Foxhall (we have chosen JG RB RW as guests previously) whilst Howarth and Campton have generally been competitive on their visits. With the recent improved form of Cam and Adam we should have too much depth and be able to send the Comets home empty handed. 50-40 Up the Witches!
  17. One ride into his Panthers career and Dilger already replaced. lol
  18. the lower one. Would make teams think before just bringing over a donkey on a hunch. Could potentially use a floor limit instead as a half way house. ie assessed 7 couldnt fall below 6 and assessed 5 not below 4.
  19. could still use the real average for team position and facilities.
  20. Whilst it seems RocketBen is being a tad harsh one point I do agree with him on us that riders should retain their starting assessed average if they dont achieve a higher real one.
  21. Often British youngsters are critisised for expecting it all on a plate and not being willing to put themselves out. Thats not something you can level at Jo. 2nd season at PL level and he has been prepared to go up to Glasgow and now Workington. Hope it goes well for him.
