  1. cant argue with the fact that some tracks closer to home would be desirable but not at the expense of a full fixture list. Personally I dont see a 9-12 home fixture season as right for my team.
  2. Firstly I hope that the Eagles can carry on in some form. A neat little track that I have enjoyed travelling to a number of times. Secondly and the reason for selecting the quote - why woukd Ipswich want to join a league as you set out?? This year we have completed 14 league 4 League cup and our rounds of the KOC and had blank weeks where no opposition could be brought forward. I certainly dont want to see my club reduce its fixture list by a third to suit propping up the league you propose.
  3. If he gets a 2 year ban there may be a few more asking the same question.
  4. Underlines their deserved position as favourites. Handled the pressure of what couldve been a tight call very well it seems to win comfortably in the end.
  5. Why only Clegg for Sneddon? He is not lowest in the averages so dont have to have only a NL replacement.
  6. So it looks like even on something that seems starightforward like putting it up the English that Glasgow and Edinburgh still have to go against each other!!
  7. and the No 1 position has also switched for a few teams within the last month. as per my post earlier - if he says no he may well not be asked again.
  8. So the winner of the last round isnt good enough for the GPs? What does that say about the rest of them??
  9. And there the rub - look at the stick riders get for not riding abroad yet when they do this will occur. So if Allen Cook Worrall or whoever say no they may not be asked again and there will be plenty posting on here saying they have no ambition etc etc
  10. so no ban due for him then as it seems he wouldve ridden had permission not bern granted. Is it the same for the others? Would seem likely so any questions need to be at the door of the BSPA not the riders perhaps. Depending on your viewpoint the BSPA decision I suppose stems from one of weakness, pragmatism or complete indifference.
  11. Whilst I can see Deans point re cluttering up the pits with bodies that are not needed I dont see a separate area for non mechanics working. Whether its a mentor/manager or physio thats not the sort of interaction for a communial space. If thats what a rider wants/needs then its best in his own pit bay IMO for 'staying in the zone'* mentally.*(select your own cliche to taste!)
  12. fair enough - in that case....... British Speedway is used to welcoming useless foreigners depriving our own youngsters places so the Tigers are Monarchs are most welcome to stay! wink
  13. of course if they are to be liable for 25% of the debt then they would also be entitled to 25%of the assests - army/navy/airforce resources to use your example. Lots of hot air on here as usual!! Personally I like the idea of the status quo and stability of the union but then Im an Englishman far away in East Anglia so dont see the effects which prompt the Yes arguement in my daily life. Should the Scots decide 'Yes' them I think it best that we all look forward and work constructively to give all parties the best future. Back stabbing and oneupmanship will just mean we all end up worse off both financially and culturally.
  14. Mine is relatively modern and Witches biased. Some top stars but also fun to watch. Davey, Sanders, Cook, Sigalos, Loram ,LouisĀ©, Mogridge, Howe, Gollob, Nicholls.
  15. All 3 sides will be hoping for and perhaps expecting solid or even big home wins. It will be the team that can pull the rabbit out of the hat and produce a special away performance that will grab a place in the final. Confident the Witches can open up with a win by about 15.
  16. Most will want to see a Bandits 3 point win - not anti Monarchs -just as otherwise the rest of the group matches are all but pointless
  17. perhaps the Tigers need some help to balance out the curse so here goes...... ...16 point lead for the Diamonds- theres no way they can throw that away in a month of Sundays?
  18. riding as he is I expect most Cov fans would be happy to see him banned.
  19. One thing regardless of who wins (and how late into the season it takes!) is that I hope the title isnt decided by 1)A rider injury mid meeting that skews a result 2)Tactical ride points let the battle commence - eventually!!
  20. surely if the records are identical on match points and race points then highest league position should dictate the qualifier.
