  1. Surely even Nicki fans can see why he was excluded. He steamed in on a thin entry from many lengths back and hit another rider. Some will say he had marginally taken the lead but that does not give him the right to take any inch of track he wants from there. Im all for the leader taking whatever line he wants when he is genuinely ahead (ie 1+ bikes length) just as Nicki did to close the door on Tai in the run off. Very different to go through someone when you are inches in the lead and effectively use them as a brake.
  2. With all due respect to Newcastle I can only see this as the line up. Baldyman has asked on the 2015 thread what sort of lead would be defenable and suggested 16 as the min requirement. I think he is about right. Whether we can cahieve that is a different matter. I hope and think we can win the home leg but maybe by only 6-10 which will would make lifting the trophy really tough and unlikely.
  3. 2nd in the semi gets 1 more point than 3rd and a chance to score more in the final. Thats the reward. If you are last in the final then you havent beaten anyone to earn anymore.
  4. like I said even if he stays on the ref could exclude him. Well done Nicki on third.
  5. just because he could stay on doesnt mean there shouldnt be an exclusion. If ref decides its unfair/dangerous riding then he puts him out.
  6. Great ride from Nicki there - still woukd like to see a run off for third though!
  7. Harris doing a bit of Brit team riding there! Come on Tai - take that bronze.
  8. surely given the first quote changes are required before next season!
  9. agree with that. The Rebels pulled off that best away performance that was highlighted by most as what would decide matters. All 3 teams can take credit for what was a hard fought group not least Scunny for the integrity they showed in their effort to beat the Witches when it meant next to nothing to them.
  10. not sure if its by choice. It could be that the thought is to build a lead to defend and put pressure on the opposition. Could just be logistics of dates and race nights. Newcastle are gonna struggle to promote the 2nd leg of the semi - imagine that from the angle of the final on a cold wet end of October night and being 20+ points down from a first leg away.
  11. Shame for us Witches fans that were hoping to see Danny at Foxhall in the final albeit against us. Well done to the Monarchs - see you on Thursday!
  12. Well done to the Rebels - good luck in the final. So near and yet so far for the Witches. Probably a much better effort than many expected tonight. Best wishes to Gino and Pontus.
  13. doing something different if plan A isnt working /thinking about the best way to attack things rather than reverting to type. Best of luck boys. Just have no regrets.
  14. expect them all to be there and scrapping for every point then!It will be a major achievement to get the result needed but so long as the boys give it their all I ask no more. Up the Witches!
  15. that would have to be some session - a whole pool of water and still unable to re-hydrate!
  16. good to see although at first glance I thought it mustve been a picture from Wimbourne Road! wink
  17. Or rain and no dates before a realistic cut off - its happened before!
