  1. Id say he has been on a par with them as such and of course there is still a round to go. I think he is capable of winning the round.
  2. had a few falls and a tapes exclusion over the 2nd and 3rd rounds.Of his 15 qualifying heats he has finished 11 winning 7 and second in 4. Not too shabby but you need to be in it to win it. So it seems he is sharp and quick but just needs to stay on! wink
  3. Officially a team cant claim a foreign rider as an asset without appearing for them I believe. This has changed from.previously.However it has been indicated that 'arrangements' are in place for certain riders to arrive with an 'understanding' with regard to their future.
  4. with the 3 going straight to the final it ensures those auto qualifiers reward even if betean by the semi winner whilst the semi winner is also rewarded indirectly for his semi win.Not needed in the GP where there are 2 semis and points are scored from those races.
  5. Isnt much of the work done either H&S (terracing steps that would be dangerous if left) or effectively temporary (the seating/stands) so despite the great improvement would not be a huge non retrievable outlay to date. Understandable that the home straight development is on hold if the purchase has not been finalised as this sounded as it would be a much grander more permanent nature.
  6. It will only be official when Col24 says so! lol
  7. I think Kerr and Rose still get a reduction but unless the rules change Worralls final year for one was last season.
  8. Great result for Rohan in round 1 of the Oz champs. 3rd in the A final but 2nd overall as he was joint top in qualifiers.
  9. that certainly seems to the way. Any new money seems to be seen as a cashpoint for the established that is played until it runs dry or runs away.
  10. Hoping for a dull day in the sky and a scorcher on the track. Just 10/11 weeks to wait now! Happy New Year to all Witches fans - roll on 2015.
  11. Theres still a fair few weeks before the season starts - I dont think it would be a surprise if its not the same 7 before then let alone by the end!
  12. Success is about the scope for improvement and IMO Kurtz Josh G Worrall and Lanham all have a point increase in them so they will still be in the shake up.
  13. Totally agree that clubs individually and collectively are missing out big time as a result of the restrictive practices. To attract a new/younger potential audience every avenue should be used.
  14. I think it helped Ritchie being captain and would stick with him. I dont think either would be upset at the other getting the job - they get on quite well! Ritchie at 2 for me to start with and Nico at 6 to put him in 14 rather than 8.
  15. cheers for that. Good luck to Leigh. Think he will be a solid signing and add to his average.
  16. The Lanham/Holder switch makes sense with the average situation but why kick out Greenwood too?
  17. suppose you proved the bit in brackets then SM! wink
  18. There also links on a thread in the international section.
  19. The main points are that Barker and Worrall signed up for the Argie series and got out there didnt feel too safe and seemed to be asked to pay for more than was promised and have come home rather than ride. The series organisers seem to be claiming the pair walked out without even telling them.
  20. If the 'engine room' struggles then we could struggle to make the play offs but cant see s as low as 10th even in that scenario. If they click then its a solid play off team again and at that point its a bit of a lottery.
  21. it went down last year but had actually improved the previous season your comment is factually wrong. Agree that Leigh will no longer hit the scores of a No1 but still capable of significant improvement on his final 2014 figure particularly if he slots in at reserve somewhere. Few realise just how bad his injuries were last year.He had a bad smash at the end of 2013 which he had barely recovered from to start with and was far from fit at the end when he returned. His back severely restricted his movement which hampered his riding. As an example he couldnt lift an engine from the floor to a car boot but was still riding.
  22. Dont get me wrong my post wasnt meant to be over critical. Sissis is a highly talented motorcyclist but has limited speedway experience. With the right support team and equipment he will get better and better quite quickly IMO but he needs time and patience. Some have hailed him as an instant heat leader and whilst thats not impossible Id say its not likely. Only at the end of the season will we see what he is really all about.
  23. Good effort from Rohan. Looks like he produced his best when in mattered. Shame he didnt hold on for the win in the final.
