  1. of course if they are to be liable for 25% of the debt then they would also be entitled to 25%of the assests - army/navy/airforce resources to use your example. Lots of hot air on here as usual!! Personally I like the idea of the status quo and stability of the union but then Im an Englishman far away in East Anglia so dont see the effects which prompt the Yes arguement in my daily life. Should the Scots decide 'Yes' them I think it best that we all look forward and work constructively to give all parties the best future. Back stabbing and oneupmanship will just mean we all end up worse off both financially and culturally.
  2. Mine is relatively modern and Witches biased. Some top stars but also fun to watch. Davey, Sanders, Cook, Sigalos, Loram ,Louis©, Mogridge, Howe, Gollob, Nicholls.
  3. All 3 sides will be hoping for and perhaps expecting solid or even big home wins. It will be the team that can pull the rabbit out of the hat and produce a special away performance that will grab a place in the final. Confident the Witches can open up with a win by about 15.
  4. Most will want to see a Bandits 3 point win - not anti Monarchs -just as otherwise the rest of the group matches are all but pointless
  5. perhaps the Tigers need some help to balance out the curse so here goes...... ...16 point lead for the Diamonds- theres no way they can throw that away in a month of Sundays?
  6. One thing regardless of who wins (and how late into the season it takes!) is that I hope the title isnt decided by 1)A rider injury mid meeting that skews a result 2)Tactical ride points let the battle commence - eventually!!
  7. surely if the records are identical on match points and race points then highest league position should dictate the qualifier.
  8. IF (big if) we make the final then I wouldnt be surprised to see the 16 lapper scrapped.
  9. why is there the best part of two weeks from the cut off date to the first fixture in the group?? A blank week with the weather set fine. Then watch everyone panic to get it all completed when there is a bit of rain in a fortnights time! Crazy IMO.
  10. Unbelievable! This Thursday has been marked as the reserved date for the first play off match in the fixture list since Feb. Now are opponents are unavailable despite no meetings elsewhere in the country. Presumably this means there are matches in Sweden some riders are involved in?? So another blank week when the weather is set fine whilst we wait for others to sort themselves out.
  11. Surprised to see Somerset pick Scunny ahead of Berwick. Would be no surprise to see all home wins in the 'south' group and best away performance wins.
  12. they should be expelled from the play off if there is a yes vote! wink
  13. no they cant under current rules but perhaps the top team should be able to in future.
  14. Somerset would be my favourite so long as they make the final as I feel they have the biggest home advantage which will be more important in a 2 leg tie. Difficult to disagree with the sentiment that it would be fitting for the top team to win it. I suppose that the only points that could detract from that are the uneven fixture list and the crazy scramble to fit in matches with it seems little regard for the result in some cases!
  15. In the mini group its all about producing a top away performance. Better to lose one 65-25 and win one 49-41 than lose both 50-40. The top two are there because they have done that more than the rest. Somerset/Edinburgh final must be odds on. Most would view Witches/Scunny as potential spoliers and Berwick/Worky as outsiders. All start level though so its game on!!
  16. Pressure on the picking team. Basically stating Worky we are picking you because we think you are rubbish or at least more rubbish than the rest. Come on Worky #webelieve!!
  17. VP will still be at No1 - new average not effective until 7 days after final qualifying match.
  18. Im often critical of Nicki making moves that IMO just arent on but this time he went through a gap and not the man. He had got genuinely in a leading position and did turn and was staying on the line. He hadnt bumped his way through and wasnt looking to run him hard out to the fence. Batch had a choice and made the wrong call - correct decision by the ref.
  19. When you see AJ ride like that you wonder why he looks so ordinary so often nowadays. Great fair racing pass.
  20. 50/50 for me. Not a Nicki fan and first up I thought Nicki out but looking at the replay Batch just taken by surprise.
