  1. So in the space of 24 hours Scunny disband the NL side and sign a foreign teenager. Long live British Speedway!
  2. still there for those with less than 3 years league experience so not scrapped but Danny doesnt qualify.
  3. that rumour could well turn out to be a red herring. With Dannys previous he was always going to be linked to the Witches and he would be a popular choice with most fans. However far from a done deal as far as I know.
  4. Id say his average is a reflection of a number of severe knocks in the kast couple of years.I too wouldnt be surprised if Scarra is right.
  5. Someone like Riss would come in on a 5 I think. Only those who have only ridden NL/Amatuer league here can come in on a 3.
  6. I think Danny will be above 9 next year wherever he ends up and be good to watch whilst about it.
  7. If Danny is available to us then to choose him as our No1 is a no brainer for me. I do think Rohan can still progress and maybe retaining him as a No2 could still be possible. We have tried the balanced approach,we have tried the big No1 perhaps now we need to try top heavy!
  8. Those with less than 3 years in the PL may still get a 2.5% discount. So Adam woukd be 4.55 rather than 4.67. The likes of Lewis Rose Lewis Kerr Ollie Greenwood etc would also qualify if it continues.
  9. that could be a good compromise with a collar to any drop. 7 pointer no lower than 5, 5 pointer no lower than 4 perhaps.
  10. then you could have King Worrall Wells Manzares Tressarieu Heeps 3pointer would ensure a top notch reserve all season as well as the genuine No1.
  11. Options with both King and Tungate are possible but limit the bottom end needing 2 3ish pointers. King Tungate Worrall or Risager Manzares Heeps O Greenwood Sarjeant
  12. I would like to see the assessed rules adjusted so that they are not reduced where the rider fails to achieve the initial figure.
  13. is this the same promoter that when the poor design of his track is mentioned puts his fingers in his ears and goes lalalala lalala Im not listening?
  14. so we just need to find someone who should be a 7 pointer, argue they should be a 3 pointer and settle for them to start as a 5 pointer!
  15. Unfortunately I think you may be right. If the limit stays the same then Worrall out and a 5 pointer in fits.(I think!) Who knows though - perhaps there will be some bid surprises.
  16. I dont see the post as pathetic or slagging off.Its a harsh but possibly fair assessment. What it lacks is a real insight into what Cooks ambition really is. Is his inability to land rides abroad despite his efforts or as a result of his lack of effort to secure any? I dont know that - only Cook and those closer to him do. However when you look at the Elbow/Belle Vue video and the reasons Cook states for taking up speedway (in the subtitles) it makes it easier to accept someones opinion that he lacks some ambition. I hope thats not the case in reality as despite not being his biggest fan myself I would like to see him kick on internationally and not just settle for the easier life. At the end of the day though its his life and his choice and if what he wants is PL with easier monier a solid income rather than risking breaking a budget to move up then he shouldnt be villified for it.
  17. I thought Pirates always buried their treasure....try the hole on the first bend - plenty of room there!
  18. had completely forgotten about Pollen! Agree that would have to go with Doolan if picking by position. Andy Nightingale (sorry Andy!)
  19. yeah at Ipswich we have awards play offs so despite being top in the regular season Gino went out in the semis! wink
  20. For Ipswich I can start off with Franz Leitner Jurgen Holtgren Jamie Luckhurst Jari Makinen
  21. they want the ones we definitely should be keeping!
  22. Anybody pick up any 'nuggets' of info at the dinner?
  23. A little surprised to see Rohan named rider of the year. Thought Gino would take it or perhaps captain Ritchie.
  24. Interesting to see how right or wrong you can be! Morten Rohan Gino and Ritchie all performed at the top end of my thoughts. Adam pretty neutral. Richie and Cam a point under even my worst fears! Which just shows how strange speedway is as Worrall Heeps and Ellis would be the first names on the teamsheet for me in 2015 along with Gino.
