  1. Rather ironic really that when one big league is discussed and the loss of the star rider is lamented by some it is defended by others stating "you still get great races with the likes of Simon Lambert" "great team man" "we could do with more like Simon Lambert" "we need to develop and look after our own" yet even the team that is signing the one we have don't seem greatly enthusiastic about it!! Surely every team should be fighting over him.......
  2. Now that would be interesting if he was to throw his hat in the ring with NORA and challenge the status quo
  3. Could depend on sponsors and which of them you would prefer to have
  4. Are bears constipated whilst standing in the woods? Is the Pope Muslim?
  5. I think its most years that you don't notice whether they have turned up or not
  6. Traditional timescale is late Jan early Feb isn't it?
  7. You can count the number of riders that have been good enough to be truly competitive at the top level from entry on your fingers so that argument is a little flawed Once they are of the required standard if they had to pick one over the other the choice would be near unanimous for the higher level
  8. I expect that Adams presence will be significant in the Ipswich pits in 2026
  9. Quite ironic given that he has probably been one of the biggest beneficiaries of 'how the sport has been allowed to drift'
  10. Surely your not admitting that the Championship is totally reliant on the Premiership and that without it you don't get the riders you want/need.....
  11. Perhaps it's just unaffordable for one or other party....
  12. A Jarek Hampel type?? Not the worst role model to have..... To be fair he has improved greatly year on year and is one of a relatively small band that has the capability of moving up to higher levels May not be the box office mega signing like an Emil but not as shabby as some may think
  13. It has been applied to EVERY rider leaving the scheme - including Jenkins himself The debate is whether he qualifies a second time
  14. Kurtz not signed for the Speedway Team Benevolent Fund ((I mean Belle Vue - sorry Ouch) so there is hope yet
  15. A reasonable argument in general although I will throw in this as devil's advocate Surely rather than saying the success of the play offs is the problem instead we should be doing whatever required to make the 'standard' fixtures seem as attractive Easier said than done for sure but would it really be better to jettison a handful of 3-5,000 attendances so that all meetings hopefully got an extra 200 or so The ambition should be to still have those big meetings but manage to capture those extra hundreds anyway
  16. And how many would shell out £20k plus to kit themselves out and then commit to being anywhere between Glasgow and Plymouth on any day of the week for £50 a point?
  17. The required radical change not forthcoming Chris selling up because 'values no longer align' Hopefully we find out soon if the two are linked or whether 2+2=5
  18. So he has been 'promoted' to the top table because nobody likes him? I know many feel everybody connected to Speedway is somewhat masochistic but that would be rather strange... Plus - why would Chris care? Unless you're hinting he is staying....
  19. Won't it be Lemon that has to sign it off now??
  20. You forgot that some of the passengers are attacking the wooden hull with pickaxes
  21. I'm going for a lay down as I'm agreeing with you again
