  1. Stick with Ritchie as captain IMO With King I would hope and expect the Witches get priority. It called double UP after all.
  2. International competitions are grantedspecific agreements for the event only I believe.
  3. Morten plus say Morley in place of Gino and Stefan would fit. As likely as any switch! wink
  4. at present it is being mooted that Manzares is OK albeit that a revision in criteria must be in place if that is true. Thats the only possible issue for the Witches so Leigh returning doesnt seem likely at present. Be careful what you wish for Lewy if its to wind up the Rebels - if a recall does happen it could be Morten!
  5. Given his rolling average is calculated over 24 meetings so around 110 rides this equates to being 2 race points short. One EF or one failed team ride in 110 races could mean he is out! Harsh if so but there has to be a line somewhere.
  6. Dont disagree with any of that per se.I only picked up a short radio interview which of course was all one side (his) Ultimately it is the responsibilty of the individual (or club in Speedway) to ensure they follow the correct protocols or risk repercussions.
  7. To be fair I expect that once the 2015 regs are published they will include any updated info. Whilst it would be nice to know the details I suppose at present its just for those that need to know just like a number of other tweaks!!
  8. Nor does Heeps and he is WA state champ anyway. If you are looking for something to put Speedways woes into perspective then look out in the news for a story concerning Brian Crane. A former US military sargeant and lately a civillian security consultant at Lakenheath airbase. So no question of character or skills. He faces possible depotation following inadvertently missing his visa renewal date and despite having a British family. On discovery of his error he had to resign on the spot leaving his family with little income and they are likely to have to sell their home if he is deported. Ironically they then face equally difficult issues if looking to obtain US visas if they are to follow him.
  9. i think frostylion (and others going by other theads) are aware that revisions to the criteria have been made following the BSPA workshops/meeting with UKVI.Its just that as yet us mere mortals dont know what they are! (yet)
  10. but he started with a sub 4 point PL average which is allowed.Adam is at 4 55 which isnt unless the regs are amended.
  11. they may have changed as of the date of the workshops/meeting with UKVI.
  12. No question re Cam - he has residency rights via family history and even if they were revoked he is WA state champion. Under currently visable criteria the WC place means nothing. What is not clear/been made public is whether there has been any revision of the criteria following the recent meetings with UKVI. A WC place COULD now be enough, bonus points COULD be included, it COULD be all 2014 fixtures not just rolling average,it COULD be state champsionships from further back than 1 year. Will just have to wait abd see and deal with whatever the REAL situation turns out to be
  13. Well so far there is only one example to quote - Berwick - 7 point Aussie out 5 point Slovenian in.
  14. I agree with the principle of your last line - it is something I have advocated myself. With regard to the riders you mention above though Sissis is on a Greek passport and doesnt need a visa and Heeps has a British residency agreement and so also is not requiring a visa.
  15. Well whatever you think of past actions it seems that the BSPA have persuaded the UKVI that they are fit to be the expert governing body for endorsements of visas.Perhaps there has also been revision of criteria and averages as part of the discussions - we will all find out in time!
  16. so the Aussies are shooting themselves in the foot on this one.A number of double counts in there along with quite a few which qualify under residency or average achievement etc.
  17. Havent all the state championships been run (whilst Poole was still injured - wink) On that is anyone in a position to post all the top 4 state results from this season? Edit - Just to add as well - many out of state riders compete in each championship. Do out of state riders count in the 4? Could a state decalre its highest 4 finishers in those places for 'official' use re visa application for example.
  18. but nowhere does it state the average has to be attained if the other criteria are met.If the injury prevented him from competing in his stare championship the exemption COULD apply there. I am not claiming this is right or fair just pointing out that the wording is so ambiguous and wooly you can take it to mean almost anything to suit.
  19. Rohans was the Lemo farewell with a much higher calibre.
  20. the GBE info is easy to find on the BSPA site but is stated as relating to 2009 and is inconsistent against the 2014 regs. IF you do go by them the injury caveat doesnt state the rider had to be above 7 at any time. It simply states exemption where injury has prevented the rider. Returning from or suffering a new injury isnt specified so either COULD apply. For Poole infact both could apply as he broke a leg both before and after his Sheff stint.
  21. Taylor Poole could potentially be exempt due to the injury clause.
  22. Exactly my point and also why I earlier mentioned Tasmania is Oz. If there hasnt been a solo championship there the same could apply if MA want to assist 4 Aussies who currently may not qualify.
  23. Also does the state championship have to be held in the state itself? Is there anything to stop theUS tagging on a heat to a meeting in California and sanctioning it as the Texas state championship therefore gifting 4 qualifications?
