  1. correct - thats what I meant by the red tape. Theres no doubt they qualify it just a case of when the clubs are reissued with authority to act as sponsor and therefore sign them.Looking at a situation where there is a longer delay at least the PL has an advantage over the EL in that it could adapt the LC comp whilst teams are missing riders if they wanted to. Hopefully all sorted in time for a normal mid March start though.
  2. There does seem to be a growing will for the PL to introduce its own "fast track' in 2016.IMO they need to go further but at least it would be a start. The danger is there is always an easy reason why not to for a perceived short term gain.
  3. Come on fellas - leave it out. I think the least important thing at the moment would be the resurrection of the inappropriately named league debate! IMO we need to use this as a wake call (by we I mean British Speedway as a whole) to examine and implement new thinking. We need to look at ways of ensuring PL reserve births are all but if not exclusively filled by British riders. This could be achieved by introducing a rule that no riders average can fall below 5 unless they have previously ridden N or started on a 3. We need to introduce British rider quotas for all line ups in both leagues even if the starts at below the long time aim level. Whatever the measures are the sooner we start towards them the better. Every year excuses are found to delay is a year wasted.
  4. cant see either having a problem meeting the criteria as you state. Lets just hope that the'red tape' is sorted in time for clubs to act as sponsors again so that teams can be at full strength for the start of the season
  5. Was a mentioned on BBC Radio Suffolk sports news. Quoted Chris stating he was confident that Rohan and Gino would be clear to start the season. No mention of Cam so that in itself shows no issue anyway.
  6. i think both would ne covered by the caveat in the regs about those affected by injury.
  7. Good to have that confirmed. Although he has British grandparents he doesn't actually hold a British passport as far as I know.
  8. that piece states that 'Watt has a long term visa and as such is unaffected' This contradicts suggestions that all visas including existing have been cancalled. The Davies open letter states 17 affected which also indicates not all.
  9. Would be good to have confirmation from the club as to whether 2 or 3 are involved. Swindon for example have stated Morris is not affected.
  10. From the new statements there now seems absolutely no reason why this cant be resolved quite quickly and with little if any disruption to team line ups as currently announced.
  11. everyone should have contigency plans! NB Theres always a silver lining - Darcy wont be allowed in even if he wriggles out of a ban!!
  12. I dont think Cam actually holds a British passport. Dont know the exact nature of the documents he requires - may or may not be a full visa.
  13. well Morten has said he hopes to return and I know Leigh would be happy to be at Ipswich so just leaves Blackbird - at least we would all find out if he even is actually an Ipswich 'asset'!!
  14. Even those who think their club arent affected could find they actually are if clubs scrub loan deals to reorganise. Eg If Ipswich were to lose Heeps Tungate and Manzares then surely we would just recall Risager Blackbird Lanham
  15. Anyone with the skills to post a link to a video of a huge piece of sh!t hitting a large fan nows your chance to shine!
  16. its trying but with little success - a bit like a Witches play off campaign! lol
  17. When hell freezes over...... Wait isnt it minus 10 in Edinburgh today??!! wink
  18. Doesnt make sense to me.......... Spring Trophy...... in March........ in Scotland? Surely its not spring til June at the earliest? wink
  19. Quick question from a potential visitor. Looks like I will not be too far away when my Witches visit in May so considering a detour to take in the meeting. What is the parking situation at STMP? Cheers.
  20. Agree wirh those highlighting Richie Worrall. Despite his average dropping last year I saw enough to convince me there is a 9+ PL rider within him.
  21. Come on fellas - chill. You're in danger of making the Berwick fans look united in comparison! wink
  22. It all seems real again now - not long to wait!! Glad to see the memerial to Billy as the opener. Can still remember the tears as a child when I found out
  23. I confidently predict that one of this years big improvers WILL NOT be the good relations between Glasgow and Edinburgh fans. wink
  24. It could all be a complete above board scenario. Or he could be supplemented from elsewhere - hopefully unlikely but not impossible. Or he could be spending so little on sh!t equipment it balances out - certainly possible by many accounts.
