  1. average 49.5 - 42.5 so better than the majority of teams visits to Foxhall
  2. good call - agree that is important if we are to qualify for the semis.
  3. As Shads mentioned the weather forecast is poor so fingers crossed for a favourable window to get it on. I think the Rockets could be dark horses this year and are capable of providing strong resistance at tracks like Foxhall. A 6 point win would do for me in this one.
  4. none taken. I think its gonna be a really good year in the PL - very even - dont see any runaways or also rans.
  5. I like to think not hence the hopefully and the wink in the post. And if you cant be positive about your teams chances at the start of a season its gonna be a long miserable year! Gazc -By Moanarchs standards I rate my smugness about a D (must try harder!)
  6. obviously jenga has also heard about the new fish at Rye!
  7. They did close the loophole. The reversion reg was removed from this years published document.
  8. I believe the regs altered last year to eliminate protests about line ups on the day of a meeting. All challenges have to come in the proceeding days.Once the meeting starts the teams having been ratified cannot be challenged by protest.
  9. So there are a few possiblescenarios 1- Babs put on the lights and awarded a 5-1 as per per positions at the fall but changed/was persuaded to change he mind 2 heats later. 2 - Babs didnt put on the lights but felt riders were impeded and so awarded at time of fall but changed/was persuaded to change 2 heats later. 3 - Babs didnt put the lights on and let the race finish as there was no impediment but failed to be able to tell the difference between riders from opposite teams and called the wrong result. She then changed/was persuaded to change 2 heats later. Whichever it doesnt look good on her. I dont buy the communication issue. Surely she has to ratify the official programme entry before continuing with the meeting. Again if this has not been correctly followed it doesnt look good on her.
  10. Last nights meeting did follow a familiar pattern for our away trips. Generally in the mix but have a run of 3-4 heats where we implode and give ourselves a mountain to climb. Take 4,5,6 (14-3) out of the equation last night and its a comfotable win. Sorting this out could be the key to any success.
  11. so presumably the red lights didnt come on?If so the right decision seems to have been made - in the end. As Wembleylion stated though I thought a race result couldnt be amended after it has been officially announced.
  12. Some you win some you lose. Early days and there are more important matches than this (hopefully!) at the other end of the season. Well done to the Rockets - enjoy it while you can - wink!
  13. glad to hear it - no man should have to make do with a shriveled sausage!
  14. The Town have done their bit now we need the Witches to make it an Ipswich away day double in Herts today.
  15. on the list along with 'my dog ate my kevlars! lol PS im still cold - was getting there but had a relapse after the solar eclipse!
  16. Not mechanical issues to blame for Ritchies crash apparently. Just a freakisk bit of bad luck. Was lifting when the red light came on - perhaps split second distraction - and didnt land the front wheel as needed to keep it upright!
  17. bruv went off early so didnt get to speak with him after. He has a busy day planned today but if I hear anything will let you know if I can.
  18. I think with the two incidents coming so early causing a lengthy delay it meant just leaving the track alone to get on with it. It was 9 o'clock when heat 8 finished. I thought all of the Witches showed plenty of positive intent - certainly enough to feel good about our prospects for the season. Gutted for Ritchie - get well soon fella. Hope Adam is OK as well.
  19. First time tonight that I have seen Lambert 'in the flesh' and I must say I was impressed. Looked very quick and certainly knows how to race. A little slow out of the gate apart from one blinder but if he can get some consistency in the that area he appears to have all the right ingredients to really push on.
  20. Ritchie has indeed broken a rib or two. Likely to be out for a couple of weeks - but you never know with these speedway boys!!
  21. if thats how it works here goes - 1 WORKY 2-12 the rest in any order 13 Ipswich
  22. Perhaps the FIM have seen BWitchers asterix against Pooles name in the 2014 records and awarded the place to table toppers Kinga Lynn accordingly! wink
