  1. Is replacing Greenwood with a 7+ rider within the budget that the crowds allow though?? No point winning in 2015 and closing in 2016.
  2. Im expecting a tough battle in this one. This is not a Rebels side that will struggle as previously. Worrall and Lanham should give them the solid middle missing in the past and Kurtz is too good to continue his poor form at Foxhall. If Starke gets his teeth into it then it will be tight. If we want to take the group we need to win and stop them taking a point. Anything less would mean needing to take something from the OTA which right now seems beyond us. Prediction 50-43.
  3. Updates are fantastic. I dont do twitter. Last night was my first away meeting since the Witches went PL due to a combination of cost and time. It was also my 11 year old sons first ever away meeting. We hope to do a few more now but will still be reliant on updates for the rest. Can honestly say though that updates has never been the reason I havent gone.
  4. of course MPT should really be that 7.50 rider himself anyway but thats a different story!
  5. Im all for a dirt line on the outside and agree there were some great first turns from those who dared. That end had grip but in a measured manner. Turn 3 though for me was borderline dangerous. The dirt line was very deep and wet and if you dared go there you had a 50/50 chance of getting into seriois trouble. Aside from 4 falls there were a number of other scary near things. Also there seems to be a very big bump on the entrance to turn 1- a few took off just a the point they were looking to slide. I suppose they may have felt more comfortable with the slick conditions in the air! End of the day the best team won. Well done to the pussycats.
  6. Thank goodness for Danny and the rest rather poor to say the least aside from Cam who was the only other with the right lines and the pace to match the Panthers. Track wasnt great IMO - too much too wide. Turn 3 particularly tricky.
  7. Will be leaving a sun drenched Ipswich in a little while. The group is now wide open after thepussycats win this aftrnoon. Up the Witches!!
  8. In the past I have been critical that the full details have been kept secret so its a big thumbs up from me for the new info.
  9. 2015 is a big year for Cam.Last year was a frustating 'wasted year' due to his wrist injury. Perhaps 2016 will be in the EL - with the Witches.
  10. if he has to pull out then the reserves can come in and as they would have 3 of the r/r rides it makes little difference. If he just struggles and takes 3 rides then you have a point and it could cost us a few. Ritchie though is full of grit and determination and nay surprise us all.
  11. Just flicking through theSpeedway Star again and noticed the picture at top of the main fixture list - Bank Holiday at Foxhall and packed. What a shame Good Friday was so sh!tty which meant although it was a healthy crowd it was not a bumper one.
  12. Certainly dont agree that its a poor PL - far from it. There are a number of sides that could emerge to challenge and every side is capable of being competitive.
  13. Before my time so I never saw him race but was always a name my parents would mention and was one always warmly welcomed back at Foxhall on those reunion nights so have been aware of him during my speedway education growing up. Condolences and best wished to his family and friends.
  14. but at present he is limited equipment wise and setting up for Rye a few hours before a trip to PBoro is not ideal.
  15. Is Covatti still guesting given the rearrangement for the evening of the Witches meet at Boro?
  16. Pleased with this and hoping to get along. With both teams now able to track close to their first choice side or at least first choice of guest it should actually be more attractive than the original.
  17. I understand Nico only has one bike at present - a situation that isnt ideal IMO. He is also due to relocate to Suffolk soon so hopefully will be able to get more organised and settled. Perhaps then we will see the benefits in the form of more consistency.
  18. Solid performance and a deserved margin of victory in the end. Danny was superb and it always sets the tone when your no1 can dominate. Bowen worth a mention as our guest - certainly good value for his return and by far the most comfortable he has looked at Foxhall IMO.
  19. in the words of British Rail last week was the wrong type of rain! Wink me too not sure its allowed even though it makes sense.
  20. The BBC forecast seems a bit more positive for Foxhall with any rain (light drizzle currently) ending by 10 and then staying dry with just a small chance of further drizzle until after the meeting is due to be over. For Alwalton however a second weather front is due bringing light rain at 3 becoming heavier at 6 and rain continuing until 10pm!
  21. but as the the old proverb goes..... Even the longest journey starts with a single step
  22. was expecting tonights max to be dedicated to you in that final interview - ah well maybe the next one!
