  1. Agree with that assessment DD. And the fact that he does have enough talent about him to improve (as do others in the Sheff tail) is why the Tigers could yet be a very successful side despite a few initial 'mehs'.
  2. As has been stated by most this problem will only be worse next year if the format isnt changed back. Surely therees still time for them to see sense and revert to the traditional set up? Perhaps protect heat 8 to give the No7s another guaranteed ride against each other and what is usually the weaker second string. No more than that needed IMO.
  3. perhaps not much of an opinion says it all for how HKP sees it - not much of a team??? I can see his point as its potentially such a long tail. Away from home at some tracks it starts at Howarth.
  4. Good to see Stefan sorted in the PL. The Devils look a decent side to me. A few question marks (like many teams) but solid overall. Good to see Stefan sorted in the PL. The Devils look a decent side to me. A few question marks (like many teams) but solid overall.
  5. the same was said last year.....and in his previous PL season.....perhaps he has found his level?
  6. And there was me thinking I might get a random incoherent answer! wink
  7. If you cant strike a deal with KB I cant see PK being any cheaper. He supposedly is still asking EL No1 money despite averaging 5.51!!
  8. I very much hope he does.Would love to see him make the world U21 finals in 2016.
  9. about March 15th and then only on alternate days! winkGood luck to Adam BTW.
  10. I have no problem with Worky or any other team signing a visa qualyfying rider. I have never stated Campton doesnt meet the criteria. I have doubted the wisdom of the BSPA deciding to backtrack to a 5 point PL entry average for those riders. I am also surprised that the UKVI have (it seems) agreed to relent to that figure.
  11. interesting assessment... So 'doing ok' in the PL is now the definition of 'performing at the highest level internationally and making a significant contribution to Speedway in Britain' (paraphrased from BSPA migrant policy statement)
  12. I wouldnt be surprised to see Rohan Tungate named in the Leicester team.
  13. terms have changed (race night) - original effectively voided.Offer of revised terms not accepted.... No break of contract.
  14. take your last paragraph though and replace 'pensioners' with "under 35s' or '35 to50' or '50 to 65' and broadly the same points apply. The majority do not haves loads tucked away A fair few live in poverty. Those stuck in the middle fear about how than can afford to run their homes and are plodding along. Im sure that SCB would also point out that at least they have homes to sell to fund care. Many current under 35s wont and also face the prospect of having to make compulsary payments during their working lives to plan to fund those costs. In those circumstances can a special discount be justified for any one group?
  15. PL heat leader not second string and the prospect of no place at all if he stays at Lynn.EL draft fixed pay rates which may not increase if a rider rises to a 1-5 position. Ipswich I would expect to be at the upper end in terms of PL payers. Convenient local home bases in both leagues. Lots of boxes ticked for Lewis to back his decision as the right one. Agree with GB generally far to much being read into the situation. It all seems very amicable to me.
  16. Sad news indeed. Im sure her passing will be suitably marked when the season starts. Best wishes to her family. RIP Ruby.
  17. This is one point where the poor pensioner arguement falls down - low interest rates. You hear that their income is down from a few thousand to a few hundred on their savings. Work it out and you realise how silly the 'poor' arguement is. If its £4000 @4% down to £500 @0.5% then that poor pensioner has £100,000 tucked away!!
  18. Tungate is not a good example to quote against Campton. Both have had similar chances but where as Campton has been a sub 5 struggling reserve on each occaision Rohan was 6.1, 7.2 , 8.3, 7.75 and has become a solid heat leader, even rising to the No1 position.
