  1. I very much hope he does.Would love to see him make the world U21 finals in 2016.
  2. about March 15th and then only on alternate days! winkGood luck to Adam BTW.
  3. I have no problem with Worky or any other team signing a visa qualyfying rider. I have never stated Campton doesnt meet the criteria. I have doubted the wisdom of the BSPA deciding to backtrack to a 5 point PL entry average for those riders. I am also surprised that the UKVI have (it seems) agreed to relent to that figure.
  4. interesting assessment... So 'doing ok' in the PL is now the definition of 'performing at the highest level internationally and making a significant contribution to Speedway in Britain' (paraphrased from BSPA migrant policy statement)
  5. I wouldnt be surprised to see Rohan Tungate named in the Leicester team.
  6. terms have changed (race night) - original effectively voided.Offer of revised terms not accepted.... No break of contract.
  7. take your last paragraph though and replace 'pensioners' with "under 35s' or '35 to50' or '50 to 65' and broadly the same points apply. The majority do not haves loads tucked away A fair few live in poverty. Those stuck in the middle fear about how than can afford to run their homes and are plodding along. Im sure that SCB would also point out that at least they have homes to sell to fund care. Many current under 35s wont and also face the prospect of having to make compulsary payments during their working lives to plan to fund those costs. In those circumstances can a special discount be justified for any one group?
  8. PL heat leader not second string and the prospect of no place at all if he stays at Lynn.EL draft fixed pay rates which may not increase if a rider rises to a 1-5 position. Ipswich I would expect to be at the upper end in terms of PL payers. Convenient local home bases in both leagues. Lots of boxes ticked for Lewis to back his decision as the right one. Agree with GB generally far to much being read into the situation. It all seems very amicable to me.
  9. Sad news indeed. Im sure her passing will be suitably marked when the season starts. Best wishes to her family. RIP Ruby.
  10. This is one point where the poor pensioner arguement falls down - low interest rates. You hear that their income is down from a few thousand to a few hundred on their savings. Work it out and you realise how silly the 'poor' arguement is. If its £4000 @4% down to £500 @0.5% then that poor pensioner has £100,000 tucked away!!
  11. Tungate is not a good example to quote against Campton. Both have had similar chances but where as Campton has been a sub 5 struggling reserve on each occaision Rohan was 6.1, 7.2 , 8.3, 7.75 and has become a solid heat leader, even rising to the No1 position.
  12. Meanwhile.... Nielsen 4.74 Ellis 4.67 Morris 4.53 dont have PL places.....
  13. could start with the KOCup - thar might give it a chance of of a final before October as well.
  14. if so it will only be new ones and not those who are already above 5 but under 7 and without the appropriate state/national place!Makes perfect sense and is totally logical...
  15. yes he did but without that his 6.68 would be considered not good enough despite a new rider (apparently) only having to be good enough to be considered a 5.
  16. Jake Allen didnt make top 4 in Queensland so still needs to achieve that in another state final yet.... there are a number posting that there has indeed been a rule change back to an entry on 5.Also seem to imply that cant drop below that starting 5. Further more to requalify it seems that the 7 is still required as Proctors 6.68 was not sufficient and he still required the state final place?!
  17. you hear about it being grim up north but pickles on the bar (no plates?) and crisps purchased separately - (not even a packet to share?) All the best for a great 'do' wink
  18. thats some stretch of the interpretation! If it is true I hope its a genuine adjustment in the regs rather than that option!
  19. Good to see him fixed up. One big issue though is priority. When we signed Lewis he rode for a Wednesday night EL track - now its Friday and the worst day possible in PL terms. There is also now an extra Thursday EL slot. Although it is an EL to EL transfer so technically no change in priority I hope there is some flexibility certainly for our home dates at the very least.
  20. The way this has turned out also provides a reason why the Lewis Rose signing didnt go ahead after it was predicted.
  21. its now official that Kings Lynn are switching to Thursdays and Lewis is to stay with the Witches and he has a new EL place lined up. Due to announce in the next few days.
