Things are desparate when Konopka is back in the frame!! -
many of the no7s he has been up against so far have been more experienced or highly rated- morley perry wachiject(no1 at the nl club daryl is no4 at) Id say he held his own against bailey and greaves He certainly hasnt let himself or the club down. The fact that he is critical of himself and a bit disappointed so far is a good sign re his attitude and commitment. We need to persevere with the no7s. Seems strange when some are wanting to give them the boot after half a dozen meetings when previously the likes of Konopka have had extended runs at a number of clubs. British speedway needs to get a decent proportion of these and then more in following years in higher positions to help stabalise and secure the future.

of course with the rolling averages and the min 3 assessed for Paco and Daryl we are officially only just under the limit so very little scope for changes of any significance. A few harsh comments re Daryl IMO. I think he has performed very well. Only 3or4 of the no7s will achieve a 3+ average and most will be 2 or less. Shanes has been the name touted as an option. Im very surprised no one went for him which seems to indicate he may not be interested this year anyway???

so ....1)you werent there 2) you try to prove the point that Danny withdrawing made no difference by quoting 5-1s in 5 heats 3 of which he wouldve been in!! 3)your view is therefore somewhat flawed. Classic!! -
have to arrange an end of season East Anglian trophy with you pussycats then - think there is a reserved date in June....

With Danny in the wars tonight ; Nico nearly neutering himself last night and a general feeling of gloom perhaps its just as well there is no meeting this week!!

Rebels by 16. -
Re the drivel from multumwotsit above. The crowd Id say was about 700 (200 higher than the EWR norm??) on a night that - was the 2nd match in 5 days (cost for some?) as cold as @#%& and with rain forecast had LOD finale on tv (wink) I think it will be the lowest we see this year even if results continue to be iffy. It will be back around 1000 for most and higher for the fair weather weeks. Re the finances and the need for extra help I think it will be there if needed and thats the TRUth.

fair play to him for getting up in 13. No one couldve blamed him had he stayed down. -

When you run 12 last places there is little chance that you will get anything out of a meeting. Poor effort from the Witches tonight. Solid workmanlike performance from the Rebels. Well deserving of their win. Allen and BWD look like 2 who by the end of the season could be proper gems to have IMO. -

5 mins to parade and a dismal crowd level. About half the normal at a guess - 4-500. -

I dont see a comfortable night for the Witches but I do expect we will run out winners by about 10 in the end. Think Rohan will be 'pumped' to do well. A crafty twitch from the witch on 1or4 when he is looking across them could cause him.problems??? -

Have the rules changed again on that then? To drop down I thought it had to be the average at the START of the season under 6...... -

I thought there were set criteria and scales for loan fees. No negoiation needed about the fee itself as it is what it is. Dont see how any rider not currently on a 1-7 can be prevented from talking to/signing for any club they wish either regardless of their asset status. -
Paco showed there is something there to work with. (7 paid 9 from his last 5 Foxhall rides) He got a great reception from the fans and obviously enjoyedit!! Lets hope we see more of it.

Sarj was top notch in his 4 programmed rides. Suckered into the tapes in 15 - much to the amusement of Garrity and Bates!! -

If someone had predicted Danny and Lewi to score just 5 each and us still to win by 12 everyone wouldve thought they were loopy!! Sarj was superb and Paco lightening away a couple of times and looked quick enough once out in front. Good stuff boys!!
