  1. Expect the Monarchs to win but not by enough. Need a good start to settle any nerves and put it to bed early. If we start poorly and are say 20-10 down after 5 anything can happen. It becomes a mental battle as much as riding skill then. Will go for 52-38.
  2. Dont they call them artistic differences in certain circles?! wink. The lull before the storm!! A week wait for the 2nd leg of the play off so any possible semi has at least a 2 week gap. No one wants to tempt fate and go on about plans for a semi until its properly sewn up.
  3. basically they need to so the same to the Witches as they did to the Panthers.Surely we can manage two more points than the team put out by the pussycats even if things dont go entirely our own way.... If not we deserve nothing anyway. A solid start is the key - dont even give them a sniff of hope.
  4. come on ive been very good lately and not joined in the 'fun'. Apologies for missing off the wink to show it was just light hearted banter. I hope Ged sticks with you actually. Some stability is good for all clubs and Pboro need some right now. If not its another winter of uncertainty which no one really wants - even those that have the odd dig.....
  5. The Fish binning it again under pressure from the NL wobbler - becoming a bit if a habit!! lol
  6. Always good to meet new people - sometimes you just get on like youve known them for a while...
  7. Great atmosphere again last night. Enjoyed seeing a heat from the centre green whilst presenting Kevin with the 'Massif Trophy' Hope the riders werent put out that we decided to award it to the presenter but we felt that you couldnt under estimate the impact a good mic man (and Kevin is one of if not the best IMO) can have on the event. Kevin has been superb in highlighting our efforts, encouraging others to get involved and generally helping get the atmosphere buzzing. All of the riders deserve a trophy too of course - go out and make it the PL one fellas!!
  8. echo that Connor was superb - what an effort. Shame for him he let a few points slip (had he held position wouldve been 7+3) but he can be so proud. Beat Wolbert and Fisher - not bad for starters! Shows why the PL needs to stick with the No7 plan or indeed extend it. Give them a chance and some will shine.
  9. Cant see that Fishers points money will cover the fines. Riding at the start team and onto the centre green through all the flags and tapes was mindless stupidity. Presumably he will be billed for a replacement pits phone as well....
  10. The Scotsman is very much his own man. He may sit with us at Ippo and chat as the friend he is but he is very clear on where his support lies.... ...often it will be with the opposition! Still very welcome all the same.
  11. nothing too heavy though from forecasts ive seen.Hopefully will leave a perfect surface....
  12. I think we need 16+ lead to have real confidence. 10-16 even stevens. Under 10 Monarchs in the driving seat. If pushed Id go for 51-39 putting it right in the balance....
  13. Jo higher average but laid liw with flu whilst Max on a high with good recent form....
  14. many of the original No7s are above 3 and not elligible. A few are also injured. Monarchs would have 3.55 for Bewley I think but not sure that particularly widens the options.
  15. is a rider with an assessed average allowed to guest?? Genuinally not sure - just one of those things that stick in the back of your mind that could be right or utter garbage. Would be quite ironic if he ended up riding more for Newcastle than Pboro!!
  16. The 'big thing' to get right re Brit youngsters next year is to ensure the likes of Clegg Jacobs Morris Branford Morley are not jettisoned due to their averages being seen as 'too high' whilst foreign riders fill reserve berths....
