  1. Get yourself along Macca and have a laugh with us all as usual.
  2. Congrats to Sheff. Just down to us Witches to banish the pussycats of Pboro to league table mediocrity now....
  3. he has to get in front first..... wink No way should we use Halsey for this one - just imagine he scored a single point in his last ride which was enough to secure our play off place ahead of the pussycats. Even I couldnt inflict that sort of pain on them!
  4. Gutted for Danyon. He has been great and a big part of the turnaround. Would trade our potential play off place for him not to have got hurt but as thats not an option in the real world lets go out and win it for him. as is said 'its ok to make mistakes so long as you learn from them' We will find out how much we have learnt on Thursday and (hopefully) the next few weeks.
  5. Gutted for him. All the best fella. I hope we still see him about with the team. He has been a big part of the upturn.
  6. No Bjerre no meeting = 0 points full stop No Bjerre but ride = facility and the chance for the 1,2,3 or 4 points that may be needed. If its still 0 points whats to lose? I suppose you could lose by 30 and miss out on race points difference....
  7. no Garrity probably no Stead...Agree still unlikely as at home the rest should have enough to see them to a win but stranger things have happened.
  8. if Sheff lose at home tomorrow then its all settled regardless....
  9. if they lose tonight as seems likely and slip up at home to scunny then we are in even if we lose both our last 2.The pussycats would be in as well with that scenario.....
  10. cant see it taking place - after all there is a slim chance if it did with some freak results actually leaving the Monarchs out of the play off places!
  11. just so long as there are some bacon ones please.....if not you need to get back out to the shop!
  12. I noticed it whilst watching live and was surprised it was not clamped down on. Ive seen it a few times from Rohan in his stint with the Witches along with a fair few opposing riders so dont think it is an isolated incident. I seem to remember a claim that it was not the wheel spinning rather just the disc (cant remember from who). Not sure if this us even feasible???
  13. go on you take the crisps! Will switch to fairy cakes - they went down well last week.
  14. One mans snidey little pops are anothers light hearted banter - each to there own. That it is aimed at the Panthers is just down to the fact that the goings on there lend themselves so open to it. wink Underneath it are more serious points around league structure and cost bases etc but feel free to ignore us knobs when we do try to debate these.....
  15. I will out my name down for taking a crisp assortment!
  16. We should have enough to pick up the win we need but could be a tight one. Its a shame Lambert isnt there but at least it gives us a chance to give Lewi Kerr a massif warm welcome back.
  17. ouch - hadnt seen anything about that.Horses for courses then...
  18. one step back to take two steps forward as the old saying goes.... wink
  19. certainly far from over.. Neither away match for Witches and Sheff is one you would expect them to get a point from and both the home matches are the potential banana skin type.
  20. Arson is a good guy macca - as are others in this little 'spat' - including yourself fella! Seems to have blown up out of all proportion IMO. Whilst I havent met many of them I have enjoyed plenty of intelligent posts from all of them and a number of enlightening PMs My general impression is that they are mature gents with extensive knowledge of the sport and a variety of solid connections at many levels - rather like yourself macca! All also can have a rather light hearted slant to some replies although never with any malice - just an ability not to take things TOO seriously at all times. Again not too unlike yourself. Given all that I actually think that you would all get on like a house on fire with a chat over a pint. Time to shake hands and move on.....
  21. Unsurprisingly Im right behind Danny! The way Stead looked on Thursday though Id say he must be favourite. Very open field with the majority of the field capable of taking the title IMO. nb need to pick the splinters out my backside from the fence Im obviously on!!
  22. Boro have Rye at home and Edinburgh away I think. Sheffield Rye away and Scunny at home. We need to match or better their results from our 2 Newcastle matches to qualify. No counting chickens. If you were Newcastle who would you prefer in the play offs at the moment - a rampant Witches, a stuttering Sheffield or and imploding Peterborough........ every incentive for them to put a spanner in the works. Hashtag backinourownhands Hashtag getthejobdone wink
