effectively the difference between the 2 leagues is now just 1 rider. Replace the Championship no7 3 pointer with a Premiership no1 13 pointer. The other 6 could be the same.

must be the converted one - he does not have a current PL average. Of course if its Poole that want to use him that may not matter! 😲😲😉 -
Glasgow 2017
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv replied to damosuzuki's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
there are posts on other threads with tweets from sgb stating newcomers will be on a 3 - only those who have already ridden but not achieved a 3 can come in on less with min 2 eg Bailey Greaves Zach W -
doesnt seem that way.No average so a 3. Although it could be argued he was in PL 1-7 and didnt achieve a 3 (not enough meetings but not achieved) so should be a 2. Mountain, Coles and the like a 3 though.
-
that is a glaring error if it is actually the case.Any rider that hasnt achieved a 3 should now be a 2 regardless of whether they have had a go or not. It cant be right for a brand new rider to be a 3 and the likes of Zach W and Ellis Perks to be 2.

which just shows that size doesnt matter but the way you use it does.... -
until anything official to the contrary yes.....

They are certainly both the type of rider the PL reserve positions HAVE to set up for to encourage and give an opportunity to.
-
I can certainly see the sense in that particularly if you are confident at least 1 will kick on. Leaves you very vunerable if you have to run with r/r though. Will Connor be fit anyway?
-
perhaps that starting average in a lower limit league should be back to 7....
-
yeah agree with that. Not sure what that 7 actually add up to - could be under even a reduced limit. Perhaps though thats whats needed to make a distinction between the PL and EL again and set up a proper structure of progression from the bottom up.

Very sad news indeed. Best wishes and condolences to family and friends. -
If the limit is reduced to 39/40 as is strongly rumoured and a number of the top riders dont continue in the PL then 5ish point riders that are capable of more will be the most sought after IMO. In that scenario having 4 of them meaning 1 is always at reserve as well could be the way to go with team buiding. So something like Barker Covatti Sarj Gino Cam Ash Morris Danyon If the limit is a little higher replace one of the 4 with Wells or the like.

Well done to Somerset - completely deserved. Enjoy your celebrations. -
Thank you and good luck to Morten. I will miss defending his contribution to Baldy!! 😉

With Easter being later in 2017 (mid April) it is also more likely that the temperature is up to a pleasant level as well. Warm but overcast would be ideal to avoid the dreaded blue goove and dustbowl problems daytime meetings can throw up.

I think Somerset will win both legs. Away by 10+ and home by 20+ -
