  1. i think the speedway boys would do better on the pitch tonight that the shambles against Lincoln in the first half....
  2. hehe - obviously youve been following my debate with GRW123 on the Kings Lynn pages 😆 They dont always mean a lot if theres no common sense attached too - some would argue thats where I fall down!(particularly on this pussycat thread) 😈
  3. My initial response was pitched at the level of your own first effort Arch Stanton. 😜 Now your effort is much more reasonable and has a few valud points. I paticularly agree with you '3 season' point. This is something I have in my mind about rider progress in general not just for Holder. If a rider stays still for 3 seasons then generally he has found his level IMO. There will always be a few examples that buck the trend although even with those there will often have been an underlying reason.
  4. even though he will be part of one of my teams main rivals I still want him to really kick on. An exciting talent and British Speedway needs him and more like him.
  5. Where are you Gavan? Wake Up! Holder just ran a last on his home track! 😛😜
  6. And there was me thinking that GRW123 chose that username because that was as far as they could count..... 😛 Point 2 is flawed - all things being equal the 14.28 wont automatically be lost. Infact the standard drop will be about half that. PS In the exam 'pi$$ing contest' I also got O Level maths at 15 and A at Level 17. To fill the six months after the O Level I took an O Level Statistics and got grade A in the following June. 👅👅
  7. I dont think you have grasped the impact of the multiplier. It was to equalise the comparative figures from each league. Therefore it doesnt matter whether a teams 7 are all former EL all former PL or any mix inbetween. It has also been shown on various threads by those with extensive statistical nouse that barring a minimal number of anomilies (eg Klindt) it was a very good fit for actual performances.
  8. unfortunately doesnt mean a guarantee it will turn out that way. Bound to be more twists and turns in the sorry saga before the conclusion either way. But at least there does appear to still be some hope
  9. Bruv has been with Danny today and as it stands right now he is still signed to the Bees and isnt looking or able to sign elsewhere as the official line is still that Coventry will run.
  10. too right - an icy pole doesnt half chafe the thighs 😲
  11. Im not mixed up at all. In 'old money' a 9 point 2nd tier rider would convert to 6.43 but this year have to use the 9. So even a team with 7 old 2nd tier riders adding up to 50 is really still 36 'in old money'
  12. 50 was not too high. With the weighting it was really about 36 'in old money' so actually very low. When the new averages come into force all 2016 meetings drop out of the calculation. 42 points is then the crude average for each side for a 45-45 draw (it will be skewed by some riders having 5 rides and others 3 but lets not complicate it too much!) So in reality a drop from 50 to 42 and removing the 1.4 weighting is actually a rise in limit albeit just from a statistical mirage!
  13. talking from personal experience there are you j? 😢
  14. Be careful if out driving today - conditions are terrible. Ive just come off the road and hit a Panthers fan.... ...went through two fields and across a golf course but I got him in the end. 😆😈
  15. think of the foreplay though with all the 'gardening at the gate' before tge 'race' starts 😲
  16. pretty ruddy special..... Say it in a Rik from The Young Ones voice... 😂😆 or it could just be a Polish manufacturing company
  17. have to agree with you - after all we have altered the track just for Mr Masters.... he is bound to love it and score a max 😛
  18. i have since checked the BSPA listing. His final average listing for 2015 was 6.72. Yeah Id let you have him on 3.3..... 😂😂
  19. havent even heard of that case! Quite ridiculous and it seems from subsequent replies that it was rightly shelved. The Coventry stadium is very different. A genuine local amenity with strong long term heritage and one that at least deserves consideration for funding. Ultimately the local 'powers that be' would have to decide if it is deserving enough for some discretional funding but either way it would not impact those other services.
  20. isnt the schools and health care arguement a bit if a red herring? Budgets for these are separate and ringfenced - any funds for a sporting stadium would have no impact on those areas.
