I'd actually expect that the majority of Championship clubs are/were against one league

More than a few British youngsters will be disappointed they didn't receive similar patience......(anywhere - not a dig at Belle Vue specifically)

Whatever your view on him he certainly had Speedway in his blood and did much good at a number of clubs Thoughts and best wishes to his family and friends

Rather ironic really that when one big league is discussed and the loss of the star rider is lamented by some it is defended by others stating "you still get great races with the likes of Simon Lambert" "great team man" "we could do with more like Simon Lambert" "we need to develop and look after our own" yet even the team that is signing the one we have don't seem greatly enthusiastic about it!! Surely every team should be fighting over him.......

You can count the number of riders that have been good enough to be truly competitive at the top level from entry on your fingers so that argument is a little flawed Once they are of the required standard if they had to pick one over the other the choice would be near unanimous for the higher level
