If the Witches did end up in 1 big league I'd expect you can forget Brennan Rew and Ellis too. All likely to be Poland bound I'd think -

Anybody thinking the GP and other top riders will sign up to ride Fridays and Saturdays for the peanuts one big league would pay is totally deluded Never fear though you still have the superhero Simon Lambert to hold the fort -
What is there when Clubs are for sale?

The land is owned by the original Ipswich Speedway from the 1950s - local family whose name I cannot recall at present All Speedway companies since (Berry/Shears/Louis/Louis) are completely unrelated to the original The stadium lease Is currently with Spedeworth - not long ago renewed and for a longish term (again cannot recall exact length) The current Speedway is a sub let from Soedeworth -

I agree in the Oxford orbit that it was not the message projected but in the official national meetings it was allegedly presented very differently -

He could need to be a 3rd heat leader/senior second string if the 'one big league' became the option! -

The Oxford decision was I believe unexpected with them indicating in those talks in all the months previously that they intended to carry on on the Premiership right up until they made the announcement that they wouldn't.... The Championship regs and limits were probably preliminary agreed on that basis hence the full steam ahead with team building despite no AGM If so that leaves much less time to look at the alternatives -

It is one small potential piece of light at the end of the tunnel in terms of rider availability I would suspect however that Josh was banking on 2 UK incomes and his demands if there is only 1 (and that 1 offering only half as much as the expected 2nd) may be different in future - particularly if rider availability is scarce..... -

Taking a place in the UK is really Hobsons choice - in 2026 renamed Pickerings choice.... -
Just the last 50 years or so The world is very different and quite simply what was the norm in the 70s and 80s no longer holds any relevance Let's go back to one bike on a rack on the back of a Cortina with a liberal winding of gaffer tape and all will be well eh GB had the major advantage of pretty much controlling the sport worldwide but by default rather than proficiency It's precisely because we haven't moved on sufficiently that we are in this mess Poor facilities that in the main are not even owned by those in the sport

Especially when 1 is Kings Lynn eh -
If/when the Premiership goes that won't be what you get though If its one big league it will be watered down significantly - its won't just be "lets set it as 1 over 8 to share out the No1s" All the hear leaders will be spread 2 everywhere instead of 3 along with 1 second string from each pair and all replaced by NDL standard The only way to keep it as it is would be to close 4-5 clubs If the costs are cut as many are suggesting you will lose some of the existing making it worse Of course some will also carry on and accept the decrease I wonder then if those healthy attendances will continue.....

Thanks for you outlook Yes it is assuming full time - because they are - Riding 3-4 times a week from Plymouth to Glasgow I'd counter is more than a standard full time commitment Re NDL/NDT - that's exactly what will be left so you will remain satisfied and I'm pleased for you The sport will cease to be as such and instead be a hobby/pass time
