Poole Pirates Vs Somerset Rebels 26/07/17
A ORLOV replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Poole might be lucky to get a win out of this, but Somerset might sneak a point. It will be interesting to see how your new signing goes. -
What, when you have got EK
-
Would really like to have that team

This move would seem to make sense even though I do not agree with "assets" as the rider can decide he wants to ride for someone else. If the Swindon test of running a team in the NL Trophy was financially viable or even nearly viable and they are looking to run a NL team next year then it would make sense to sign him as an NL number 1. One issue could be that Zach wants to move out of the NL and ride for a Championship club. This would help Swindon in two ways, it would mean we could fill up the ridiculous gaps in the season with NL meetings, then if Zach is kept at reserve in the main team in 2018, and I do not see why he should not, he would get masses of time and experience on the track, which would help him financially and to improve. If we do run a NL team we also have young Anders Rowe who is doing very well at Kent who could also be included in it unless he has signed a couple of year contract at Kent.

I feel for all the fans who have travelled a long way, some of whom have combined this with going on to Cardiff. I hope they were able to get their entrance money back if they had opened the gates as many will not return for the rerun, unless it is this Sunday. I do know of a few Aussies who were going to this before Cardiff and then are back off to Aus next week.

This is in the wrong section, it should be in the Championship or NL
-
Now that is definitely a wind up post
-
We will also have a chuckle next thursday
-
Have told you Starry, Championship racing for Poole next year at Oxford so you had better arrange a coach. Kennett will be your number 1.
-
Most of that lot will not fit into the Championship av limit next year , Kennett will though !
-
Well they are at Swindon next thursday so we shall see how this change goes
-
Is this the international rider you were waiting for
-
Poole have just announced KK has just been replaced by Eddie Kennett, so that is of no concern.

Swindon V Rye House Thursday 20th July Sgbp
A ORLOV replied to racers and royals's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Having thought about bend 2, it is strange because a couple of times this season one or two riders have stormed round the outside of bend 2 and have overtaken those on a tighter line. I will speak to a couple of the riders and see if they can give me a valid reason for it. -

It does seem to be the case that something has happened to bends 1 and 2. It is the case that riders using the outside of bend 2, the bit that Killer used to ride right next to the fence, has lost its speed and grip and that now riders are cutting back and finding a faster line on the inside. Apart from that it was a good meeting, especially watching Jason back to form getting a max but all the others put in good performances. I am a little surprised that Adam did not score more from reserve but I appreciate the exclusion did not help him. The team seems now to have a more balanced look with jason, Nick and David putting in good scores, Tobi and BWD scoring a decent 6 or 7 and the reserves going ok. We have now won 7 out of the last 7 meetings but many need to attend next week to roar as we see off those pirates. -
A lot will depend if Poole can make a decent changes before the end of July as it is not only KK who needs getting shot of. If Poole do not make a couple of decent changes it could be them, but I am not sure if there are better riders out there willing to ride for them.

A ORLOV replied to DunRobin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Correct, it now does not show any figure for 24th, does that mean his new average is 0. -

That is definitely not right, I wonder if Matt came up with the new figures. -
King's Lynn V Rye House 19/07/17
A ORLOV replied to tellboy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
That is strange as i used to live closer to the Wash on the north west side of Kings Lynn. What the track must be missing is a drainage system where the surplus water is pumped into the river ouse or nar, the same as the industrial estate must have, or they would keep getting flooded. -

And we have won every meeting against them. There seems to be the away A fixture missing from the fixtures list. -

A ORLOV replied to racers and royals's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
We had some rain early this morning but now it is dry and bright and the sun is due out later, so the weather should be good for the meeting. We have won our last 6 meetings and this should be a good one, so if the fans can get behind the team and a lot of noise would be good. This could be good practice for when that mob from Dorset turn up for another thrashing next thursday. -

I will admit that I had read the report about the Poole meeting just before, again, and enjoyed it. The team balance now seems a lot better Sidney. Since we signed David as a proper Robin at the end of June he has improved his scoring, and Tobi has hit the ground running since his arrival and improved since.
