  1. As no rider lineup has been issued yet and there will be a lot of progs left over from last week no doubt an insert can be issued to go with last weeks prog with most of the riders listed, even if it is printed or photocopied on thurs.
  2. The rearranged meeting will take place this thurs. There is no team news that I can find yet but Swindon have put out an offer that any one attending will get a free programme. Will this be win 14 out of 14 meetings ?
  3. Poole will be very lucky to even get into the semis.
  4. I hope at the agm one of the major changes will be the reducing of the delays, last night was awful. They have got to stop riders going to the pit gate after an unsatisfactory start or using up all the two mins again. The ref should have a 1 min or 30 second restart time. Somehow they have also got to try to reduce all these restarts.
  5. Why should we be forced to have the second leg away, they may be able to get the dogs changed if BT pay Stadia UK compensation.
  6. That is strange, if Swindon get through to the final we cannot race on a wed as we have dog racing on wed nights.
  7. Because they then have 3 broadcast dates instead of 2, 4 would have been better but that is up to BT. It does seem strange bringing the finals back from 9 and 11 to 2 and 4, as if there is bad weather etc in the next week or so, many clubs will not finish all their meetings in time for the semis. It would have been better to have the semis later and keep the 9th and 11th as an option.
  8. That would be good and something that has been needed for a few years but not enough of the members of the bspa have voted for a stronger league.
  9. If a 7 man team has a limit of I believe 42 it is unlikely 6 would have a limit of 40.
  10. It does seem daft to pay a fee for entry, it is not as if it will be a sell out and paying the fee will confirm entry
  11. Do you mean 16. After the meetings I would head for J16 to go west or J14. to go east. Note the road is going to be closed in sections but only between 8pm and 6am so it will only effect fans going home. Initial closures are northbound so they will not cause any problems. But later they will close the southbound back to M4. Somerset have now confirmed that they can come to Swindon this thursday Aug 24th and the meeting is back in the schedules.
  12. If he keeps improving at his present rate I think a reserve place with Swindon could be a possibility before 5 years.
  13. And MPT 5 points, so not really a threat points wise.
  14. Just a reminder for fans, that the A419 will be closed between 8pm and 6am on various dates after Aug 29th. The first stages appear to be northbound from M4 to Stadium turn off. Just check roadworks website for southbound closures from Stadium back to M4. http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/news/15482491.Warning_to_allow_extra_time_for_journeys_during_A419_resurfacing_work/?ref=mrb&lp=17
  15. So if the 4 clubs are still trying to get into the 4th place and the top 3 certain, all meetings are important and urgent, but as with previous years we have a mad scramble again.
  16. It is only £5 entry so fill the place and make lots of noise. James Sargeant rides in place of Zach and Bradley has a spell at reserve with Adam moving to the 1 - 5. Can see another Robins win coming up, but just noting that it was KL who was the last team to beat us back in May, but both teams have changed since then. http://www.swindonrobins.co/news.php?extend.2951.1
  17. This looks good http://speedwaygb.co/premiershiptable17
  18. Great result again. I thought the result would be closer but this team just shows how good they are. 37 - 53 and another 4 points is welcome.
  19. Speedway Updates has the riders listed but it could only be correct once the meeting starts. http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/17139/somerset-swindon-sgbcb-2017-30pm?page=1&scrollTo=338626
  20. Part of the idea of specific nights is to fit in with riders riding abroad and it also allows for doubling up as there would not be any clashes of meetings and the unavailability of riders. The biggest issue is that many clubs do not own their track so some may not be able to run on whatever days are picked. D/U make not be liked but it is the best way for riders to get experience in the higher leagues which if they are British will also improve the standard of the younger British riders faster. Many Premier riders cannot afford to just ride in one league, but there might need to be restrictions as to the numbers or length of time a Premier league rider can D/U.
  21. Who knows as they seem to do what they want to do.
  22. I hope not as we have more than enough meetings to get in before the Sep6th playoff deadline.
