  1. Unfortunately you have to let them make mistakes and just hope they learn from them, some do, some do not and go on to continue making more.
  2. He did have a big fall at Swindon on monday and was seen by the doctor.
  3. I would think you may not be the only one to give Norfolk a miss.
  4. Bit silly not having a number 8 available, as now really up against it.
  5. Swindon did not refuse they actually announced that Somerset could not make it so they would try to arrange another meeting for tomorrow.
  6. They might as well put a call out asking for 7 guests. Well I cannot see too many going tomorrow with a double meeting on monday and one next thursday against Wolves.
  7. It seems that every time I have seen him at Swindon he has not been as good as some make out. He is young so it is probably best to let him have a bit more experience before making him out to be a number 1.
  8. He was a master of clamping the opposition down on the bend, slowing them up to allow the number 2 or reserve to come round the outside for a 5 - 1. Sometimes he was looking behind more than in front.
  9. No way, Killer is a Swindon "asset"
  10. It sounds like we will have 2 riders and up to 5 guests riding for Somerset for this meeting. Twitter is stating Lawson, Hougaard and friends, it might have been better to have had a triple header on Monday and made a day of it.
  11. And Andy Smith who mechanics for his son for BV. I know of some that ride in the NL where parents mechanic for the youngsters.
  12. Many fans did go and after the rain off did not go to about the third attempt. At least we will not be near being in the relegation meeting that could be the option for your lot .
  13. When we won the league the second leg was at Poole, the problem was that we did not have any more home meetings to celebrate the win.
  14. He was on about Swindon where on a wed there is dog racing starting at 6.30.
  15. They could continue on a thurs but would have to accept that any visiting team might have a few guests, plus it would be the case that they would have no d/u riders themselves.
  16. A couple might race here but it is not worth screwing the whole set up just for them. The big issue initially is the allowing d/u without having to bring in guests because the championship club is riding on the same night. The same would happen the other way round with the number of Premier riders that race in the lower league. Now some may not like d/u but it is the best and easiest way for riders to progress through the leagues while getting enough meetings to make a living.
  17. Swindon might switch to mondays but there is dog racing during the day so if there was dodgy weather on the monday it might mean more cancelled meetings because of lack of time to sort the track out after the dog racing. The only totally free days and nights are tues or thurs.
  18. No Poole have stated that if they get beaten by Glasgow they would not want to drop to the lower league.
  19. The annoying thing is that we went weeks without a meeting back in June and July, in June we only had two meetings.
  20. They would have done better to reduce the entry price or have a combined thurs/Bank holiday monday offer.
  21. Which was predicted by many apart from whichever idiot set out the schedules. What will be even worse is if monday is rained off.
