Great news that Tobi is back for 2018, good start to the team.

Or even worse get rid of or change contracts for riders already signed.

Agreed the gaps were a joke, then many matches in a couple of weeks later in the season.

I thought the lump sum stopped a year or two ago just leaving the meeting fee?.

Not sure if all the Premier clubs video, so that would have to change then as you say you might get a reduction of home fans attending, also I am sure some would pay to see meetings from the Championship and even the NL .

I think that was the original type deal but later changed to just paying the clubs who were shown on tv.

That is easily got round by not advertising which meeting is being shown until just before the start of the meeting so those who were not going anyway could then decide to pay for it or not.

I seem to recall the money was only paid to the clubs who had their meeting televised rather than a block payment to the bspa which in the past has been shared out to the clubs, but have no idea how much it was per meeting.

As far as quality goes obviously someone like Re Run and other companies who produce official video of meetings would be good, but I have been happy to watch the odd race from a race from someones phone on utube.

Just get it going, the quality and better coverage can always be improved and follow later.

If as commented that there will be no tv money in 2018, that must have been a major factor in looking at reducing finances next year.

I would pay that for other meetings from around the country. I would start with every Swindon away meeting.

Some clubs will have to reduce their expenditure or get out and raise more sponsorship and income from other sources.

Wait to see if a lot of average manipulation takes place, then fans will moan about that.

I hope Jason is in the League with a club rather than lost for a year, but if he does ride at Lynn will he and Buster get on.

That is a tough decision but a decision had to be made due to the shortsightedness of some of the bspa members. Would rather have had Jason with Nick getting experience at another track, also if Jason was injured Nick would have been an ideal guest for him. I hope Jason does ride for another UK club so that we still see him at Blunsdon occasionally.

We had the better team, it does happen.

They could easily include GB - Australia as all the good Aussies are in the UK throughout the season, both a top team and youngsters. I suppose the biggest issue is with the top riders, the availability of those who ride on the continent as well as the UK.
