I still recon there will be a some average manipulation so that riders drop below 8 in order to bring other over 8 av riders in during April and May.

It will be interesting, and unfortunately boring, watching which No 1 can come in last.

The only trouble is the bspa have been trying to get a main sponsor for years. Ok it had Sky for a while who were only there because they had the tv rights but no others have been found.

Agreed, nor does it cover the other requirements of BT. It is likely that it does not cover the number who would stay at home and watch the meeting on tv. If the need for GP riders are part of the deal, what are they going to cost the clubs, bearing in mind any GP rider will want paying all season and not just for one meeting. So £3000 does not cover the club costs. Now that the bspa have stipulated only one rider over an average of 8, they have killed the inclusion of GP riders

With this rule of only one rider over 8 per team, that kills the requirement of a minimum of 7 GP riders, as we have 8 teams and 7 riders over 8 points, some of whom are not current GP riders. I wonder if the bspa will accept the deal and get rid of this daft one over 8 rule.

Have suggested that might happen. What are the bspa going to do reduce the average, now 8 for only one rider, part way through the season ?

I would not say he is better, as the average shows who is best in the UK, but Nick does need to get something sorted out on the continent rather than riding for Lakeside unless he can do both.

Agreed Steve0, Nick has an average of 8.87, Brady has 8.08.

Would have thought that as thurs is a Championship or NL night, but what happens with Nick if Lakeside ride against a thursday track.

The whole idea of Mon and Wed for Premier clubs was to stop D/U clashes. I wonder how many Championship clubs will ride on the thurs and if they have signed a D/U rider before a Premier club will the rider be missing.

Getting to Lakeside from Swindon is a horrible trip, still it is closer than Berwick.

Rosco on twitter says Dec 4th but if it shows Speedway that will be good and should get a good crowd in on a speedway GP night, the same as Malc Holloway used to get at the Jovial Monk .

Rosco said he was impressed with Liam Carr at reserve but not sure if we should go with a reserve with a lower average than Zach, but it depends what points are available.
