  1. You can add to that, that the opposition teams riding against those championship teams on the thurs so it could be more than six. Each time Lakeside race against one of the above championship teams they could be three riders down if the premier has priority.
  2. But that is flawed as the years when Brady was riding were against lower riders, most of the top riders had left the UK for the continent. Next .
  3. That would be ideal providing the teams are equally split between mon and wed, but if 6 teams ride on the same day then there probably is not enough weeks in the season for them all to ride on the designated night. As well as this if we have another bad year of scheduling and lots of rain offs then the alternatives will need to be used. It will be a bit difficult for some fans to chop and change home race nights.
  4. Have not yet seen anywhere how the priority works in this case.
  5. As many thurs as possible as I go to synchronized knitting on some mondays
  6. You are welcome to him, the rider that Poole fans were claiming would win the Aus Championship and not get beaten by a second string rider.
  7. Because in some meetings last year Jason was not riding and we still won them with good scores from Nick. He has proven that he can get and have a better average than Brady.
  8. Did Kurtz ride for the Champions last year ?
  9. Yes I know I was just commenting on Nick being better than Brady, not replying to your post
  10. It is possible Nick has his own schedule and knows he can beat Brady, still we shall see during 2018 and later.
  11. But earlier SS was on about N Morris not being as good as him.
  12. I remember on a few occasions when a rider was excluded that he would park his bike across the track at the start and go storming up to the refs box, not sure if any of the occasions were staged, but it all added to the excitement.
  13. Not sure if Swindon will ride on a wed as there is dog racing most wednesday evenings starting at 6.30, also some fans go to more than one of Swindon, Somerset and Poole. On mondays the dogs run at lunch time so i can see mon being our main night, with the odd thursday meeting when Lakeside are not racing.
  14. Only if the teams are equally split between mon and wed as their main night, bearing in mind some of Swindon's home meetings will be on a thursday. If there is an imbalance then there will be riders not riding that night.
  15. Agree but the clubs cannot afford to lose either group with the dire situation many of them are in. The worrying point is that very few or none of them know what to do to grow the fan base and attendance.
  16. He is for Poole this season and some on here think he will beat Nick Morris, very unlikely.
  17. So expecting imminent news any time in the next 5 years
  18. Many organisations offered discounts to OAPs to use the facilities or spend their money during quiet times, ie the pub etc for meals before 7pm on weekdays, or clubs during the daytime. This then spread to other organisations who thought that by offering a discount they would get more people into their venue who would then spend more money. Many who are retired do have to watch what they spend and any help from organisations with discounts is probably greatly appreciated by them, but it is difficult to means test them for those that are hard up and those who have an adequate income and those that receive well above the average income.
  19. Plus they will need beefed up suspension for Wimborne Rd
  20. In that case he has to accept what is offered, or go and ride abroad then "the top man of British Speedway" will learn another lesson. As it goes Chapman might get screwed over by him not riding too well in the UK or going sick at crucial times. Another issue is that until the riders stand together on this "control or asset" system the promoters hold all the cards.
  21. In that case he should not have signed the contract that gave Kings Lynn that control over him. If it was a multi year contract he will have to accept it. If it was a one season contract he is free to do what he wants. It all comes back to this "asset" crap. He at the moment has not got the clout to negotiate a decent contract. Do you have a contract with your employer that stops you changing employer, without being compensated for it.
