There is another issue when a rider reaches his 18th birthday, who if riding prior to that date had his parents sign any riding contract, who then refuses to sign the contract offered, as the rider has becomes an adult and has to sign any agreements or contracts himself. Any club wanting that rider could ignore any previous signed contract or agreement.

Agreed and I am sure that some fans and local sponsors have given up because of the chopping and changing of riders each season. Years ago many youngsters used to wear race jackets with their favorite riders name on, but you hardly ever see it now as a favourite rider this year is riding for a different team next. The same happens with riders caps and shirts, because of the changing you see less.

No doubt some will pick one night only and others will pick both nights for home meetings. I am waiting with interest for the fixtures lists to be published.

At kings Lynn fans can work out the next race ins and outs etc and read a book between each race while the tractor is going round and round.

I just hope that they manage to schedule the meetings with less gaps than last year, and that clubs are forced to run cancelled meetings or comps like the KOC by certain dates so that there is not the usual last min panic in September with multiple meetings in one week.

Since the bspa have authorised Swindon to ride on a thurs, following what appears to have been the usual screw up in originally agreeing Mon and Thurs as the Premier race nights and then changing to Mon and Wed, who knows what priorities there now are for thursday nights. I agree it should not be too difficult to arrange the fixtures so that they do not clash with riders championship meetings, but as like 2017 if the bspa schedule has gaps of two or three weeks of no meetings, then we have some rain offs in the first part of the season there may be clashes in the later part of the season.
