Hope there are some as in the past often those metings have been better than many of the Premier meetings.

I did read it and just pointed out the highlight progs on tv.

Bit like all the hype about the Prius that although might be slightly cleaner to run but created more polution to the environment in its manufacture.
-
Tesla have already given up with the development of battery swap points as the variety, size, locations of the battery in the vehicle, age and condition of the exchange battery and manufacturer warranty on the battery make swapping too difficult and complicated. Even 40 minutes for a recharge is too long for many people. Hydrogen technology is also in its infancy and will improve.
-
So every 100 miles or so you have to stop and change batteries, cannot see that catching on for long journeys. There will be a cost involved and how many varieties of battery etc would be required for the hundreds of variety of different types of vehicle on the road.
-
Not true, how is anyone going to drive any journey more than about 100 - 150 miles until, probably in many many years a battery that can hold that much power might be developed, this is why any top up fuel for long distance and the majority of transport, all day or long distance lorry transport, needs the current fuel until something like hydrogen is nationally available. This is why most cars are hybrid so you still have to have filling stations. There is also a major issue with the production of all the batteries and the disposal of all those that die. Electricy might be ok for going to work or the shops but is no good for a great number of journeys over 100 - 150 miles and for convenience of travel, so are people going to have two vehicles.

I hope the club do get issues sorted out and fans who have stopped going most weeks return but is is no good if the management do not listen to their fans, ignore problems and believe everything is ok.

Three main sports have highlights in addition to as well as live coverage that i know of. BBC has football highlights each week, the same with rugby and often the F1 coverage is highlights only. If the tv companies will not pay a decent amount for live meetings and some clubs feel the payment does not cover their loss, as seems to have been a possible issue this year, then coverage will be limited so a highlights prog is next best, the alternative is no coverage at all. People might want live matches but if the clubs decide against it then so be it, again highlights are better than nothing.
-
That is possibly because having seen a live meeting with all the delays etc they were put off, which is why a highlights prog would be a good option. If the bspa get rid of all the delays and pointless restarts more people might return to the sport.
-
Someone in speedway needs to put together a highlights prog that a tv company might show using clips from re-run etc from the clubs and even the GP series which would be cheap tv, possibly sell re-runs videos and get people interested to a point of attending meetings if they do not live too far from a track.
-
When I visit I will bring some and chuck it on the track, the same as we used to do.
-
But will it have any shale on it ?
-
The ones top left are almost in the pits, they could sell teas in the interval from their kitchen.
-
But that does not show the houses right against the stadium boundry on the left of the map or how close the houses are on the bottom of it. This picture does, a twitter I came across yesterday.
-
Not worried by the Poole team line up
-
No we just rode as normal
-
There were just as many questions about the plans for the "first new site" next to the present stadium.
-
That will make tape infringments and a very tight finish interesting unless they install a camera on the line, some refs have enough trouble when they are in line with the tapes.
-
I think you may be right and I did comment on this when a fixed night was muted, will many stay at home and watch a meeting if their normal team is at home but against a not very good team or the weather is iffy.
-
Just checked tv box, you are right the full meeting was in 2015, in 2016 quest showed a couple of GP meetings, but highlights only. It is good being able to go back and watch them years after they happened.
-
I think it was last year or possibly 2016 when Quest showed a Speedway GP instead of the usual channel

If you read what I posted it was that if it is a boring as Formular E people will not bother with it. Part of the boring bit is the lack of noise for many, it is part of the atmosphere at the event. Do not need a hearing aid. Anyway you carry on and follow it if it ever happens, but I and I am sure many will not.
-
Next year they claim they will have the whole race in the same car with the one battery, which is an improvement in the development. The future is hydrogen as it only takes a few more mins than petrol to fill up the tank, ideal for long journeys. They have hydrogen stations in Swindon and a few cars running on it. Having to wait half a day for an electric recharge is no good unless only shortish journeys are being done.
-
Obviously some have not seen how few people bother watching Formular E.
-
You might like it but hundreds will not, so you can go back to the doing something else when the sport is dead.
