At Swindon you could see the improvement in the youngsters as they were led round by Leigh Adams, who would sometimes slow down to ride with them during a race, and in after the meeting rides with them as well showing them how to position themselves on the track. So a team or national mentor is what is needed for the youngsters.

We need the likes of him, Zach, Max and a couple of others included in any GB team training etc, they could be the future of the GB team so need to be taught properly and given as much experience as possible while they are learning.

It is difficult but what might help is if he goes to any GB training sessions or anywhere and is led round by a much more senior rider, then may see where he needs to change what he is doing.

Swindon riders doing well elsewhere over the last few days, needed with the lack of racing over the last couple of weeks. Troy scored 14 from 5 rides in Poland yesterday Nick, Adam and Zach went well at Lakeside Zach won his Under 21 semi final on Saturday. D. Bellego 11+1 from 5 rides in Poland Sunday Swindon should be able to push Wolves in this meeting and at least get a point or even 3.

Agree, some easters have been good and clubs, especially with local derbys have seen good crowds. The date of easter does change a lot as does the weather each year but as with the meeting I went to last week it was so cold the crowd was down partly because of it.

Maybe the bspa should look at the long range forecast, if it is any good and reliable, before deciding when the season should start.
