May have been the case but then the league, or like Swindon did, Kings Lynn should have stuck to Thursdays. It seems that very few of the Speedway owners have much business sense. For some years now they have made changes that have cocked up the sport and driven fans away and have not come up with ideas to bring in many youngsters.

Would not be surprised if this is the last season of the Prem league.
-
He can see the way speedway is going, one big league or most of the Prem clubs closing down, so wants to get what he can out of whatever value is left from the Poole team which is not a lot.

Bit of a daft decision to pick those riders and have a FRN of wednesday
-
So we have yet another thursday with good weather but no meeting and the possibility that the one scheduled for the 11th will be postponed as well. I just hope there is not another panic at the end of the season to get meetings run before the cut off date.

And no doubt some who have left with think very hard or pick and choose which meetings to go to in the future. I cannot see the exact timings but it seems to have taken ages to run 5 heats even before the accident in heat 6, it would be interesting to get timings and delays to the end of heat 5. -
Normally the first application outlines the overall project and the second goes into detail re each building, road, section of the build. It may well be that both are submitted at the same time but the majority are not as the developer wants to get the initial OK before going into detail for each individual part of the whole project. It would be stupid spending hundreds of thousands of pounds coming up with detailed building and road designs etc only for the Council to turn round and tell them they cannot build the stadium on that bit of land, only to have to change all the designs again. If a person is building a small extension on his property then outline permission is not needed, but for a larger development no one in their right mind would go into tens of thousands of pounds of detailed designs before overall pp had been given.

As will most of the other clubs with meetings planned for the 11th.

So has everybody else, and the bspa wonder why fans have a go at them. -
As stated that is outline pp not detail. There is a big difference between outline pp and detail. Outline pp is for the project being allowed, detailed is for every detail relating to each part of the project. So where is this pp approval you claimed ?
-
Outline planning permission was given as stated earlier. The back straight stand at the present stadium could not be demolished, seen in a document somewhere, because of drainage issues, which is why nothing has been done, but you now claim pp has been given which I have asked where is it published because it is not on the planning docs relating to the present stadium changes.
-
I think outline pp was given but many issues arose that could not be sorted so final was not.
-
Do not think so, in fact I think that they never got final planning permission for the new stadium, as issues kept cropping up, which is why they put in a new application to demolish and use part of the existing site.
-
Fine if that is the case but cannot see any changes to the planning docs since April 19 confirming extension of time, so can you put on here the agreement of pp document.
-
Even the meeting on the 11th might be postponed. Am more concerned with going to BV on 9th with some of the team not having had a meeting for a few weeks.

The original post was about puzzled home buyers wondering what the noise of speedway was about, nothing to do with a new stadium, so I am not sure what you are on about. Anyway I await to see if anything happens or another story comes from Stadia as to why nothing is progressing.
-
The same as an enquiry to the sales office of the new development by a speedway fan who was told "the stadium will not be there much longer". That is why you use a decent solicitor and never believe what a house developer agent says. If the solicitor was asked and did not mention exactly what was happening or in this case the fact that there is a speedway stadium in the area which could be noisy then he can be sued. Any sensible person buying a house would check on the internet what is in the local area before buying.
-
If they were concerned they should have had a better solicitor who would have told them about things like the stadium in the area.
-
As usual a couple of those who claim to be "in the know" stated the stand on the back straight would be started in June. It is all obviously bull crap as on the planning details Stadia have not even got Planning Permission to knock down the existing stand yet.

There is more chance of Swindon signing Johno, seen at Roscos pub

Have wanted that for a long time, mainly to enable the clubs to keep the same riders rather than having to lose one or two every year because the bspa weaken the league most years, but there has always been one or two that have voted against it.
