Shovler could set up a coach company to get to the home meetings there, with Lisa as the trolly dolly

I agree with this but then if the riders are really good they get an average which often rules them out of the team a couple of seasons later. I am happy for Swindon to bring on good riders but not for them to then go to other teams or even abroad. In the past we have had to lose Batch for a season and Kildemand because of the team limits, and if the one over the eight rule is kept we are likely to lose Batch again, who has been great this season. Both the fans and the riders get fed up with good Swindon riders leaving the club and although not the only reason the fans and youngsters may well be put off from attending after following then losing their favorite rider. It could also put off sponsors from supporting an individual rider.

That is what trolls do

But in many seasons the limit is kept and good riders that have improved are penalised because of the average they have earnt, some of which then just ride abroad and the league is weakened. The team limit should either be increased or got rid of so that the best riders can ride here. Maybe the answer is for a starting point then any team can keep the same riders for say 3 or 5 years and it is up to other teams to get stronger rather than weaken the successful clubs. I want to see stronger riders here, preferably British ones so that we can then compete against the other speedway nations.

That is what happened a couple of times when eurosport was busy

Since no team won the other title why not have Sheffield or any other new club to the league or for a big crowd a Somerset based select
-
If that is the case then it may be the reason Berwick has shown interest
-
The report states that they have the rights to Premier and Championship meetings, in the summary section near the end of the report http://www.speedwaygb.co.uk/news.php?extend.37642

If the bspa keep the stupid one rider over 8 rule we have to lose Batch.
-
I mentioned that they should also show speedway on Quest so even though it will only be highlights a great move having this option on Quest and DMAX. One advantage of just highlights is not having to listen to Pearson and Tatum for too long.

Ditto steve.

£10 ? do not forget the £18 paid tonight, so not just £10.
-
Plus traveling costs, that will put a few more off supporting Wolves
-
The bspa should increase the PL team limit to 46.5 so that we can keep the same team

Berwick, Sheffield and Kent.
A ORLOV replied to poolebolton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Cannot see Berwick or Kent moving up with Berwick having to change its race night and not having its local meetings with the northern clubs. Nor Kent if they have to keep the curfew and continue to start at 6.30, especially if the clubs still get no say in rules etc for a period of time, which I could not see Len standing for. -

Poole will be in the right league then -
Same here, have only watched meetings where Swindon were racing and a couple of GPs, and from the points posted have not missed many decent meetings. Previously I used to watch nearly every meeting.
-
It was good when they had it before and showed the GPs on Quest, even though it was a week later as a lot more people have Quest than Eurosport and the tv company gets two channels showing it. They could do the same with coverage of British Speedway, even a next day repeat, as those not bothered about it being live could enjoy it. The important point is that a repeat on Quest increases the numbers who might watch it and then go to a local live meeting.
