This is the first sensible post on here re watering. Years ago the track was watered or if really dry flooded one or two late nights before the meeting so that water soaked into the track overnight and was not burnt off by the sun. The sun and continual grading is turning the track to dust and I doubt if it was watered overnight. Another issue is that often the water pressure in the area has been reduced a lot and since the house building getting enough water at sometimes has been a nightmare. Something I do not know but it may be a possibility that Swindon has also had a batch of iffy shale, the same as other tracks recently, that has less of a clay content. Then there is the problem of not being able to get on the track when the dogs are running up till 2.30 ish, and watering a bone dry track full of dust during the day where most of the water evaporates is a bit of a waste of time.

Just hope that tonight they water the track more and it is not as dusty as it was thurs.

There is no entry into the pits due to all the tv equipment in them, the same as previous meetings being shown on tv.

With no results posted yet it looks like R&R bookies is still out celebrating all his winnings on Robert Lambert.

Or showing one or part of a race would be good, providing they pick the right one, but so far great publicity.

For a few years now it has been different from week to week, but have no idea what the answer is .

Do not worry, I know a couple have been winding them up, mainly due to all the usual claims of how good their team was before the season started, but it will all backfire on them. Thank goodness it is mostly good banter.

Agreed, but Mountains average was above Jacks so it leaves anyone with an average of 2 or below, but who is about ?

Could not do a one for one switch Steve as our team average is above 42.5. If we did want to do that we would have had to get rid of a second rider but end up losing available points for a replacement.
