If the present system with the PL dies as it appears to be doing then yes lets have one big combined one rather than none at all or a PL with 3 or 4 clubs in it. The PL has reduced in numbers and with the buffoons that have run it for the past few years it and some of the present clubs cannot afford to carry on losing money at the rate they have been so things have got to change.

Revamp of existing as the previous "new" site had massive drainage issues. So the house owners of houses which will be built on that site will be able to grow rice instead of grass.

On July 19th the Council accepted the latest set of plans for drainage of water etc, something to which the LLFA objected to back in Feb but having been accepted they need to send detailed designs re the surface water to LLFA for approval before any work can be done.

He has got headlights on his tractor so overnight watering can be done providing he has access and other staff available at those times.

Also it is difficult watering a track that is baked, it needs gentle rain for days that soaks in as pouring water on it from a tanker is like watering the surface of the M4, the majority of water just runs off. Or as previously mentioned watering overnight so it soaks into the track. A tanker can give it a light watering but then when the surface is wet a the weight of the tanker will bring any water back to the surface and rip up the track and turn it to slime. Light rain is best which gradually soaks in to the track rather than a lot of water where the majority runs down the slope to the inside of the track.

The dog racing is on tv for betting and they will not allow vehicles etc on the speedway track while it is on.

Yes they do have a large water truck but used that to top up the small sprayer, if they had not done that there would have been no or very little water available due to the lack of water pressure in the area. I get more water out of my tap at home than they sometimes get at the track.
