Agree, and why it is not shown on normal Freeview ch 273 anymore I have no idea. Not bothered if HD or SD, just pleased to see it.
-
I get it each week, Swedish Speedway on a tues, usually about 6pm followed by Sundays Polish meeting, and sometimes it shows Polish Speedway on a Sunday. Have been watching it all year on Channel 95 on Freesports HD.

But are they worth much, if a businessman sees that Holder was estimated at £20,000 one day and is then worth £0 shortly after, another rider worth a lot more than £20,000 injured for life because of an accident and not able to ever ride again, they will be very wary about any rider being of much value, especially if the present list of riders either do not want to ride or get injured to a point of not being able to ride.
-
What the same as C Holder, they are not assets of any value if they decide to go off and ride elsewhere in Poland etc.
-
It would only be a profitable business if the riders want to ride and there is speedway at a decent level. All I am saying is that the value may not be as high as Matt expects. I obviously hope the club continues as along with Somerset it is one of our two local Derby clubs.

I cannot see many wanting to pay much, if anything, let alone Matts valuation when he wanted Somerset to buy C Holder for £20,000, for Poole Speedway. To start with the riders are not financial assets of any value, as they can just walk away and refuse to ride for any new owner, so Matt has a couple of tractors and other equipment and an agreement to hire the track when he needs it. Add to this the state of speedway in this country and the way it is run.
-
Would imagine that has already been done, but only on paper, otherwise the marks going across the speedway track would get obliterated each meeting or session of track preparation, in order to know where the outside limits of the new track can be.

Meeting date now changed to Sep 27th -
Would prefer that any new track has slightly longer straights than Somerset as that can be ridden as a circle from the inside of the bends to the outside of the straights.
-
I would not say that ray, the shape does matter as it is no good having rubbish racing because of the shape of the track, where with a bit of thought the track can be good and allow different lines and plenty of overtaking etc.

Riders are dropping their averages in many teams, ready for a likely reduced team limit next year.
