  1. Lots on here and previously on other threads have mentioned the ridiculous and unnecessary delays. Most fans seem to want the meetings speeded up so they can either get away or, as I would like, an occasional second half possibly for the young riders, ie reserves and possibly potential future reserves. Some of the weeks the meetings have finished earlier than last year but most want the pit gates kept closed for a restart, unless a rider is being replaced, but there should be no mechanics let out on the track for refueling etc.
  2. What an awful meeting, many delays at the start due to tape infringements and the ref holding the green light on too long, and when are they going to stop the staff opening the pits gate after a "dodgy" start, the two mins should go straight on and the riders should not need to refuel etc. Even the delays following tape breaks were too long. It was predicted before the meeting that certain riders would be reducing their averages, due to the stupid team average limits or one rider over 8 rubbish bought in by the bspa. Just look at the averages of many riders in different teams that have dropped in the last month, mostly below 8 points as they want a team position next season. Lastly this was an ideal opportunity to give young Anders another opportunity in the team rather than bring in a rider from elsewhere. Both he and Tom should have been the reserves, he was at the track last night so presumably able to ride. Swindon has its own assets but bring in another rider, unbelievable.
  3. If you do not ride over the lumps or down into the holes it is only 290 mtrs
  4. Another opportunity to see how he does, and could it be he is being looked at for 2019.
  5. Reserves for Swindon are now James Sarjeant and Tom Brennan.
  6. Unless the bspa reduce the team limit, again, so even fitting in a 7.96 rider is difficult.
  7. If as reported the team has struggled financially this year how the hell is any team in a 5 team league with superstars back going to survive. If that is the plan, which I doubt, I would rather watch a larger league, ie CL plus PL combined.
  8. It will be interesting watching to see if certain riders are reducing their average so they have more of a chance of securing a position next year. A lot will depend on what the bspa decide as a team average limit and even number of riders in a team. Just look at how many riders have recently got their average below 8. In the past riders have done very well one season and ridden themselves out of a job in the UK the next. Others have waved their partner through on the line so they get a bonus point and reduced average but the same pay as if they had won.
  9. Now not showing that as it is cancelled and rescheduled to next week
  10. NZ only has a part reciprocal medical cover agreement with GB so he could get a bill, which is why he should have insurance. That is when the NHS bother to invoice foreigners as it is the tax payers money. Not sure what happens if residency or dual nationality comes into the decision to charge or not.
  11. As have a lot of the riders in the PL ready for next season.
  12. Yet again a load of rubbish Swindon No 6 TBC BV Line up Fricke Worrall Cook R/R Tungate Grajczonek Berge Bickley
  13. Agree, and I posted that earlier, they will be a bit shorter and wider but I do not want the straights so short that the track can be ridden as a circle.
  14. Normally yes, which is why any promises of work starting has been questioned. It was obvious that any track work could not easily be done during the speedway season and the dog racing limits when work can be done. So have no idea how and when work can be done on the dog track.
  15. Would have thought most riders would have insurance covering the cost of injuries and medical cover, as the delays in getting an NHS operation etc rather than using a private facility could cost them thousands in lost earnings .
  16. The eastern end is being moved towards the present pits and I believe the track will be shortened by about 15 to 25 mtrs as the length is coming down from 363 to 300 mtrs.
  17. Will not mind as long as there is a bit of a straight.
  18. They can still change the track shape, as they do not need pp for that, but might have to hold fire on replacing any buildings.
  19. Ah , forgot about that meeting, so we need a guest either way.
  20. I see that Zach did not ride for Lakeside tonight so wonder if he will be fit for this meeting also no news about Jack re his illness.
  21. There would be more local derbys so as you say more fans might attend away meetings.
  22. Am aware of that but when I put a large bet on him he cost me money, it is just a shame there is a limit for bets in the last round .
