  1. Tough meeting for the Brits when you look at the riders that Australia and Denmark have. Will be interested to see if MJJ happens to have shed his Virus for this.
  2. And he will probably repeat that next thurday
  3. Hope the injured fans recover quickly and many thanks iris123 for the reports.
  4. With the first few heats at both the GPs to date needed to sort out the track, would it be a good move to have the reserves and or a few good young riders racing on the track, say for four races, before the main meeting starts. I seem to remember I saw some youngsters racing at one of the meetings at Cardiff but cannot recall if they went out before or during the main meeting. Apart from the first few heats a very good GP, lost a few pounds on AJ, but congratulations to Chris Holder.
  5. Am going to see if I can get TVP this afternoon for the Polish meeting.
  6. Probably the best 4 screamer but Richardson chose not to ride last year, do not know if he is prepared to this
  7. Thanks for the link pawel115 Enjoyed it, whilst watching IPL cricket
  8. Since the pub I go to to watch the GPs is not open at 4 am, and I would not get up to watch it at that time anyway, does any body have a sport schedule which shows the repeats and if so what time are they on. I have looked at the Sky broadcast schedule on the internet for the Speedway GP but it only shows one week ahead. Hopefully the repeat will be shown Sat night at about 7.
  9. The other problem with 4 am is that the pub will not be open, as a lot of people do not have or want SKY, thats why a rerun at about 7pm is probably a good idea, just have to not view this forum during the day.
  10. Correct thehammer, I thought our clocks changed after the date of the GP, still wont get up at 4 to watch it. I would think it would make sense for Sky, if they are showing it to show it or the rerun at about 6 or 7 Sat pm, the same as they do for some GPs.
  11. It is not on the sky schedule yet but as the start time is 4PM NZ time the UK time will be 3AM as they are 13 hours ahead. I will watch the rerun.
  12. And a lady walking between the seats selling ice creams and soft drinks from a tray
  13. A very well presented, and laid out article which was easy to understand and a pleasure to read. Thank you and keep it up.
  14. Thomasthedog with all the information provided have any of the above suggestions caught your eye, or is it going to be a campsite outside Cardiff?.
  15. E R just off A38 look up on Plymouth Speedway Location
  16. If you look up Cardiff map city centre, it will show you.The cricket ground is the SWALEC stadium about one mile north of the Millennium Stadium. I believe there is a park and ride but do not know the cost or the park and ride location
  17. But did you win a lot of money at the bookies? !!!!!!!!
  18. Totally agree with 21st century heathen the city of Prague is brilliant, especially the castle, the parks, and along the riverside. Lots to do and very cheap travel if you decide to visit a few places just outside the city. Do not know about activites etc for youngsters but a good guide book will advise. If your children are very young or a bit picky you need to check out the food for youngsters, and even take your own as you seem to want to stay for a few days. Hope this helps.
  19. You want to do what I am going to check out, see if the cricket is on the radio, watch it till 4, go to the pub then speedway. Turn up the volume to max on the radio headphones and listen to it while watching the speedway. At the same time record the cricket, if on, and the speedway to watch any bits I miss. Hopefully best of both worlds
  20. I love watching the sidecar racing at speedway but do wonder if it will come back because of the wonderful noise these 1000cc machines make. We now have to put up with four bikes on the track sounding like bees. Many years ago after a meeting with mad aussies on the track, I spoke to one of the riders and mentioned that must be great. Two of them offered to take myself and a mate round the track. Having put on helmets and leathers we got on the sidecars and they started off. They told us how to hold on and move over the back wheel at the bends, we wont go too fast they said, Lying B******s. But one of the best experiences of my life. With all the elf and safety brigade these days I doubt if anybody could experience such a thrill. Sorry to go slightly off thread.
  21. Same here it was an eye opening experience going to a league meeting the next day. We joined the supporters on the train and at the station we ended up at we could not believe what the supporters were met with. Riot police with batons and dogs who escorted the supporters to the stadium and kept them in their own area. We were able to go in a different direction and have a drink etc as upon seeing the police we had taken off our English supporters attire. There was no trouble at the ground but the supporters were kept out of the bars in the town by being escorted both ways. But must agree two meetings in two days made the weekend.
  22. Good performance by Rohan, will look forward to your visit to Newport.
  23. Very good report BFD thanks for that and look forward to next sat, but will you have to stay off the amber nectar and JD till you have finished texting. Have a good week
